Official USC 2013 Transfer Thread

@pizzaguy … wrong thread bro this is USC - University of Southern California … not banana slug school …

lol but banana slugs are fierce mascots

^ YaY for USC’s being a Horse =D

Who cares about what people call it? As long as its identifiable what you’re talking about, I don’t see the big deal. I’m from down south, just moved to LA, and I intend to refer to California as whatever I see fit. We call it cali down south and I’m gonna continue to do so. If “Californians” don’t like it…oh well?

@laviet and whoever else has problems with oasis. The six digit password is mmdd of your birthday but yy is 13. That is the reason why people can’t log into oasis, they put the year they were born, it’s the year your applying plus the month and day you were born. So lets say you were born oct. 23rd, it would be 102313. I know this because it worked for me.

@theildream lmao thats the thing LA especially is SO diverse calling it Cali or California really doesn’t state if your from around here or not … welcome to the melting pot =D

@cschropp … umm mine worked with ****90 because i was born 1990 first time hearing about this 2013 date …

Yeah it worked for you but I was saying for the people who it doesnt work for. I tried my birthday 92, but only the 13 works.

@redcap… I’ve been in and out of “Southern California” for about 20 years now. (my whole life). I’ve spent summers there and have family there. Referring to California as Cali is simply a short reference nickname on text/online/or whatever. Also. I refer to orange county as OC whenever I’m texting or whatever. Lol. Obviously only an idiot would think that every native referred to it as “The OC.” ha. Ever heard the song “Going back to Cali”? Lol it most definitely is a term. Nerdy? Maybe a little. But no need to take this thread so seriously you Cali native, you.

And yeah, RandomNewGuy, I agree, who the heck cares? Lol.

@qwertychester

Yes! Elac student here. I’ve also attended lattc and currently a class at lacc

Oh… And I have family in Newport. And it’s a lot like the TV show. Lol ever been to the gated areas? VERY The OC’ish… Haha.

RandomNewGuy if you dont mind me asking, what’s your major and also what was your gpa?

I also love how random and restless this thread is becoming. Lol

Yeah seriously…I think we should all just step away from scanning and posting for a few days.

I blame all of this on Lane Kiffin.

Damn you, Lane Kiffin! See what you have wrought?!!

@FahmanISS… I’d be transferring into Anneberg as a junior within Print and Digital Journalism. Rockin’ a 3.78 GPA, which would be higher, but I tanked my transcript in my teens. Blame the booze and the Pokemon.

@tomred
newport is a lot like the tv show? what tv show? are you taking about “newport harbor: the real oc” that aired like 7 years ago? hahahaha

Okay, I managed to stay out of the “Cali” debate (the only term that makes my eyes roll more dramatically would be “Frisco”), but I cannot ignore this:

Tommy Trojan is NOT a horse. Yes, he rides a horse by the name of Traveler, but dear Tommy himself is a (human) Trojan!

^ He’s talking about USC’s mascot being a horse, which it is.

@hearty, the tv show The OC, is set in Newport…

He said orange county was nothing like the tv show, I beg to differ that parts of it actually are.

There ya go.
