Official USC 2013 Transfer Thread

My Financial Aid status says, “Application in review.” Is that a good or bad thing? Does it mean anything?

Hey still looking for a roommate/roommates for this year (guys). I am transferring to Marshall, am serious about my studies but also like to have a good time, and if anyone is looking for someone to live with message me… Pretty sure housing fills up fast!

Katie617,

Good to hear! Though I’ll try not to get my hopes up until I have that darn letter in my hand (and make sure someone isn’t playing a cruel joke on me) Did both the letter and box show up at the same time? And where/how do you see the pdf?

Any other SCA applicants waiting to hear back? I’m hoping for Film Production.

@DM, If I was in I’d be interested. I’m also really serious about study time etc… Also was a student athlete at my CC. Still waiting on SGR results.

@tom alright man good luck on getting in and let me know when you’re in. Fight on!

Thanks man. Will do.

@redcap SCA here still waiting, animation. at least a week from now it will be over!

redcap,
The acceptance letter pdf came before the deposit box. I think it was under the status check and I looked down and it said I had a message and I clicked on it and there was a pdf. 2 days later came the deposit box. I paid it right away.
Let us know when you hear.

Katie,
How long after you noticed your STAR report change did the letter show up? And definitely! Really hoping I get in.

redcap,
I think the letter showed up within 3 days. I hope that letter shows up for you soon.

My Star Audit report opened up again and my major is listed… this is exciting.

Is Chapman University better than CA state schools? I’m thinking of applying to Chapman if I don’t get into USC

^Depends on the major, but generally, yes. Especially for business/film.

Redcap: I’m sure you already posted but what were your stats again?

My Stars report is still unactive but my Interactive Stars Report came up with a table and stuff as of 5/24/13 21:22 still no major or anything though…I don’t know what to think of this!

I haven’t yet because I honestly don’t think it matters. They look at every student as an individual. Upstanding citizens with 4.0s can get rejected and 3.0 students with on the verge of C’s can get accepted. Who knows what the admissions look for. But whatevs:

3.83 at a CC (definitely going down after Spring semester though…) pretty extensive creative portfolio (varying from films, web series to videogames and theatre) great letters of recs from film professor, marine science professor and a tutor. President and founder of my school’s Film Club. I think my biggest strength is in my creative writing though. My essays weren’t long-winded resumes, they tell a story that explain who I am without being too heavy handed about why I want to go to USC. I focused on telling great stories, not just making movies (there’s a difference!)

Also, apparently theatre is a huge thing for them so I focused on that for one of my essays as well.

does anyone have the same situation ? when i click on status check or document check, no page pop up. does that mean i am rejected?

How do u sumbit unofficial grades for spring without a request

It means we don’t get in, because Lane Kiffin hates me!

Other than the obvious mail
