@alaintran9

I just got into UCLA, the site just opened.
The Berkeley site is still under maintenance though. Good luck @alaintran9 with your options…how I wish USC had a log-in date…

@melraecan Accepted into ucla as a Broadcast and Journalism major?? Congrats!

@alaintran9
Haha no they don’t have that major I wish! For the Communications major at UCLA

@melraecan What are your stats??

@alaintran9
3.8 GPA
All pre-req’s met
LOTS of EC’s
And I work 30 hours a week

@melraecan

Congrats! I applied to UCLA for comm as well but was rejected.
stats: 3.88
all pre requs met
strong ECs and leadership
no work though except for some miscellaneous tutoring

Sucks, all hope is on USC now :(

@that1guyy

Thank you! My top two choices are actually USC and Chapman… I am really hoping and anxiously waiting like everyone else to hear the decision.
Don’t get me wrong UCLA is a great option but since I specifically would like to study broadcast journalism USC and Chapman would be such a better fit!
You seem to have strong stats. The thing that screws me up in regards to USC and Chapman is that I have academic renewal which they don’t accept, so I’m not feeling too positive about that right now :frowning:
But good luck! I hope USC is kind to the both of us!

It’s crazy how such little factors can play into accepting one person and not accepting the other… Just have to hope for the best!

@alaintran9

I agree! And not just the small factors, but who is reading it too! Both are a scary thing!

yeaa admissions is really personal especially for like essays. something you write can be read by 100 different people with all a different feelings about what you wrote.

all with different feelings**

Got rejected from Cornell today. I don’t really care since I knew it was a long shot, but it just makes me feel worse and worse about my prospects anywhere.

So as of today we’ve heard one person say they got a SGR…

Today was a great success.

Just like that, as mysteriously as cescaler arrived, cescaler was gone…

cescaler is secretly a USC admissions counselor playing with all of us

(jk cescaler)

Ahhhhhh the waittttt.

I got rejected from UCLA too :frowning:

USC is my last hope! Let’s hope the decisions come rolling in by next week!

GO TROJANS!

I had a super crazy day, so I never got to chance to do my daily USConnect check. I just did it now and I saw that I got a SGR. For those of you who were curious: if you get a SGR, it will be on the “Application Status Check” page which is found under the “Admissions” tab. It also says that I’ll be getting something in the mail on how to submit my grades.
