Official USC 2013 Transfer Thread

good then we are close haha lets hope most of them chose to attend other schools!

Hey guys I’ve been reading and following this thread for some time now. I’m getting really anxious right now. Good luck to everyone.

Here my stats if anyone’s wondering
I attend a ccc and currently have a 3.8. I started college before graduating high school and took 24 credits with a 4.0 and I’m taking 15 more units this semester. My high school gpa was a 3.48 with a lot of volunteer work. I still do a lot of volunteering and also held a job until last semester. I am applying as a bio major and have completed all ge requirements and almost all of the prerequisites. I got into UCSD as a human bio major but USC has been my dream for as far back as I can remember.

Hope this helps. Hopefully this thread gets me through the wait.

Oh and do guys think I have a chance of getting in?

Oh and I have currently finished 45 units so by the end of this semester I will have 60 credits from the ccc.

Hi im a USC applicant applying for the Human Performance Major with a minor in kinesiology. Does anhone know if Human Performance is impacted or not?? I know it just started in 2009 so it is a fairly new major at USC. Do they have waiting lists for acceptance at USC as well or is it just your in or your out??

Hey guys, do you know the breakdown of students applying to the different departments at USC? For example, out of the nearly 9,000 transfer applicants, how many apply to Marshall, Viterbi, School of Cinematic Arts, etc.?

@robspringer I am almost positive that they don’t have waiting lists. The closest thing they offer to that is being admitted in the spring instead of the fall.

@bubbletea I guess if you do have to end up telling them, at least you have a legitimate reason! It isn’t like you’re quitting because you don’t feel like doing it anymore. They can’t really hold anything against you for wanting to enrich your education! :)

It’s coming very close…

I’m on to the next one
On to the next one
On to the next one
On to the next one
On to the next one

On to the next one

Hold up, freeze

Somebody bring me back some acceptance letters please

Hey! Im a senior is high school and plan to attend csun in the fall. I also plan to transfer to usc after a year. I want to know my chances/ tips

My hs gpa is a 3.8 unweighted or somethin and a 4.__ otherwise

took AP classes
no sports cuz i got injurred:/
SAT kinda bummer 1350
Freshman yr- all A’s
Soph- all A one C&B( honors/ AP)
Jun- all A one C&B( same)
Soph- in progress pretty good with b & a’s

Will do well in college & take rigorous coarses. What are my chances? I’d also love to hear any successfu usc transfers too  thanks for your time

I was looking at past USC transfer decision threads and I noticed that I didn’t see anyone get rejected right away. People who may have gotten rejected without a SGR may not have posted in the thread, but has anyone heard/known of anyone getting a straight rejection?

I read that if u transfer with less than 30 units usc looks at ur high school stats to helpake their decision thats y i gave my hs stats cuz i plan to tranfer b4 30 units

Hi pleasr help me out if u can  i am planning to transfer also and after a year at csun. i plan to transfer bfore 30 units so i guess they will look at my hs stats. i have a 3.8 gpa and soooooo much xtra activities. Im in clubs and travel in med competitions which ive wom medals. 200+ volunteer hrs. taken AP classes and done well. done 100+ hrs of internships at hospitals . What r my chances if i do super well in my first yr of college? Super stressed here :frowning: n cuz my sat was 1350 n other stuff too … Help!

Medlife, you spelled courses as “coarses.”

What I’m trying to say, is that I think you have what it takes to be a Trojan! … at Troy University in Alabama. Online.

rejections are some of the last people to know is what i hear

not to be mean either but people who are asking to be chanced need to stop. no one on here is an admissions councelor. we have no idea about your chances im sorry but if your looking for support on your chances call usc admissions and ask them. just apply you never know.

@Medlife I hope that 1350 score is Math + Critical Reading because if that’s your total score including writing then you’re kind of…well you know the word.

Just my two cents: we will hear many more decisions within these next two weeks

@RandomNewGuy, play nice now! LOL. Funny stuff though

Also the closest thing we had on here to a consultant was SilverRex… And he left us many moons ago.

SilverRex was probably taken out back by USC Admissions and turned into stuffin’ for Lane Kiffin’s office chair. I imagine it went down something like this:

"I swear, all I wanted to do was help those kids onli-
“QUIET, YOU! YOU HAVE BROKEN THE BYLAWS OF THE S̶T̶U̶D̶E̶N̶T̶ ̶E̶M̶P̶L̶O̶Y̶E̶E̶ ̶M̶A̶N̶U̶A̶L̶ SACRED TROJAN PARCHMENT!”
“Bububu-”
“YOU ARE CONDEMNED… TO DORNSIFE!
“NOOOooooOOOOOoooo!!!”

R.I.P. SilverRex (2013 - 2013)
