Official USC 2014 Transfer Thread

@xsayax‌ I’m not planning on it haha. Just think its interesting that I can sign into the registration website. It makes sense for oasis because that is how they review your information, but not for webreg.

@Clordia‌ Film & TV production =)

@theyadoreyou That’s really competitive but since you got a phone interview I think you really have a decent chance to get in! I applied to Interactive Media and as far as they accept very few transfers:(

Anyone applying to dornsife as an Econ major as a junior , want to compare stats? Message me!

@Clordia‌ I hope so! We’ll see what happens. Even though SCA is super competitive just stay positive! No sense in driving ourselves crazy for another month.

I know Oasis doesn’t mean much of anything, but they just changed my class to Spring 2015. If I were to get in for spring, that would be AWESOME because I’m studying abroad next fall (or supposed to) in Madrid. Coming back from Madrid to go to USC would be the best.

@wdemasters02‌ What do you mean they changed your class to Spring 2015? Is your Star Audit Report filled out?

@finefreshfierce Thank you!! Good luck!

I have another question though. I’m applying for broadcast journalism, and was wondering how many credits you have. I know the website says no more than 36, but I was told over 36 would not be a problem. I’m going to have 41 completed by the end of Fall semester 2014, then another 12 or however many for Spring 2015. Do you think that would be a problem?

@joshpick @xsayax haha that reminds me of the thread about the people who applied for housing before they were officially accepted and they got their acceptances rescinded

@wdemasters02 It happens but then it can go back to Fall 2014 (or at least it should)

@scahopeful I’ve been waiting since December 1 when I applied, so I think I can hold off a few more weeks lol

got my acceptance letter april 29 applied to dornsife poly sci major. good luck everyone!

they just said that if i get anything lower than a c or 3.5 it may be rescinded

Just wondering, so I applied a little late(Jan 31st) into the admission time frame(I still got it in before the dead line though) and I was wondering if that will affect my chances of getting in? Do they review applications by submission date? Does this mean that I will be getting my decision later than everyone else? Thanks!

@cuo741 Let me ease your worries right now. They extended the deadline to February 18th, so you were well within the time range. You have nothing to worry about, and they send decisions out bases on the school within USC you applied for.

@Trojfan131 Do you know the order of the schools that come out?

I get so scared whenever I see a plain white envelope in the mail now D: I feel like I can’t wait any longer!!!
Some days I’m like, you are a unique candidate, you’ll get in!
Other days I’m like, there’s so many other people with better stats than yo, that white envelope is coming any day!

The struggle is real.

@itzsupermanyo I am in NYC now, just got my package today!

@cuo741‌ I applied closer to the extended deadline and got a sgr a week ago 4/25 & I am a poly sci major… If that helps at all.

@cuo741 No, I do not know the exact order. However, there are trends that have been noted from years past in here. Viterbi, Marshall, and Dornsife are releasing their decisions now, and I know that Annenberg and SCA unfortunately are the later schools to send out decisions.

What school are you going for?

Have any freshmen on the Trojan Transfer Plan heard back yet?

Status update on the Oasis thing: I watched it go from Spring 2015, to Fall 2014, to Fall 2012, to Spring 2015, to Fall 2014.

In other words, the server is going crazy.
