Official USC 2014 Transfer Thread

@transfersammy I applied as a Psych major and I got my decision May 1st. But I also haven’t been in school for the past year, so they aren’t waiting on any grades from me!

Has anyone heard anything about financial aid?

@agsingers, Congrats on your admission! I applied as a psych major too and tbh I’m not sure if I was considered an entering soph or jr b/c I’m not sure if USC means 30 units at the time of applying or by the end of spring.

I saw on the decisions thread, that you were maybe a sophmore? Can you shed some light on this? Also, did you have to submit ur h.s./ sat scores

Hi, I was wondering whether the GPA from my current school (UCR) will transfer to USC? Because I just got off the phone with the admissions office and the woman who picked up said that my current UC GPA will be my GPA at USC but it sounds too good to be true?
anyone know for sure whether this is true or not? thank you :)

@jjango I think it only factors in for honors considerations (cum laude, magna/summa) at graduation

Small white envelope from USC came in the mail today…
asking my dad to donate (USC Law).

Scared me.

@jjangoo It might or might not be. Use this link <a href=“USC-Articulation Agreement”>Error; and enter UC. Find UC - Riverside. Select the most current year. Search the articulation history to see if the classes you have taken transferred to USC or not. Then, you might have your answer.

@jack2011 you scared the h-e-double hockey sticks out of me. Praying for your acceptance :)

Hey any school of architecture applicants hear of anything…? oasis updates…etc…

@jack2011‌ your dad should write a note saying he will donate if your accepted

clicked on restrictions in oasis, there was some activity on my account today… good sign?

@skast25‌ I used to think that meant something, but I got an SGR last week and my restrictions are still dated from back in January.

2014 Transfer Applicants: ???

We’ll see.

@randombookie thank you!!! Yes, I’m hoping to be a sophomore but the last school I went to had really unique classes and credits. So while I had 32 credits there, I’m not sure what USC will accept. I know that a few other schools I’ve been accepted to consider me a second semester freshman

I didn’t send official score reports, but I self reported my ACT and SAT scores in the common app.

What’s Oasis? I feel like I’m missing something.

@HopeForMarshall‌ WHOA! 42,279 freshman in '13 up to 51,800 in '14. That’s almost a 25% increase! Incredible.

If only they sent all decisions out at once. This anticipation is killer…

One, I repeat ONE, of my professors will not be turning in grades until May 30th… half of the rest are already in, and the other half will be in by the middle of next week. HELP.

@hepburn95 Oh boy. Hmm, how well do you know this professor? Maybe if you could tell that professor the situation, without sounding demanding, he/she will be able to understand the situation and help you out. I don’t really know what to tell you, that just is bad to hear. When do/did you get out of school? I’m done tomorrow, and one of my teachers told me that grades are due by Tuesday. Just curious.

Sorry, that is very unfortunate to hear.

Hey guys! Hope everyone is taking this waiting process better than I am…lol…but I got a SGR on April 30 and I am sending in a 4.0 tomorrow…how long do you think it will take for them to give me a decision? I might have a mental breakdown if it really isn’t until mid-July…I just don’t understand why they have to make us do so much waiting!

@Trojfan131 I actually know him pretty well! I talked to him and he was really nice and understanding, but after asking higher-ups, he was told that he has to enter all of his classes grades at once, and that if he just enters mine, everyone else will default to an “F.” Ugh! My last day is next Thursday, but I took my final for this class today because he is going out of town for over a week… He sent me an official emailing confirming my A in his class, so I am hoping that a screenshot of that will suffice for now. You have quick deadlines, that’s great! I think May 30th is our deadline, and our last day is the 22nd.

is it me or does it seem like we haven’t heard of any acceptances recently…like this week?
The longer I wait the more I worry I’ve been rejected :(
