Official USC 2014 Transfer Thread

@fadumbear You living so close to USC will be indication of them sending them out! We will not hear back until you do first!

@ipodtouch99‌ @sanderella I can’t complain then, I have a 3.6 and just hoping for the best :slight_smile:
I am sure you guys will get in though, but I hope you guys hear back soon!

I

@hepburn95 O my gosh, that would be amazing but I don’t think it was. The transcripts they requested were from 2009-2010 at a college I only attended for three semesters. It did say though “from your most recent semester.” I thought that was weird because I didn’t attend that college for some time.

Don’t stress @andyn937 we’re all in this together!!!

@andy937 I have a pretty high GPA and I haven’t heard anything yet. Some of my friends that have applied have pretty good stats and they haven’t heard back as well. Don’t fret. Most of the decisions are doled out around the last week of May.

@bballprofessor23‌

I dont think that having a undeclared major that you currently have at UC affects their decision. I was undeclare at my school (then again it was a CSU) and they still accepted me.

And for a heads up for those who got accepted. You have to pay your enrollment fees, then 4-5 days it will be updated so that you can get your USCID (which is the OASIS ID#) and your USC email, so that you can sign up for orientation.

I just got all of mine today.

And question:

Is there suppose to be two facebook group?

@Karlos One is for Spring transfers and one is for Fall transfers(I think). Although I fail to see the point of having two when there is a Class of 2016 and Class of 2017 groups. No point in splitting them into transfers.

Or at least I think that’s what going on in that image.

One Facebook group is for Spring admits and the other is Fall (upper left hand corner)

In oaisis under financial aid document status, in the center in red, it shows a “status as of 5/14/2014” update. Hmmmm, the last change was for 5/9/2014 and before that it was 4/1/2014. I wonder what’s going on, since I got a sgr on April 25. Good thing my last final is next week and I can hopefully get my spring grades early.

Are foreign language classes the only kind that wont be transferred if taken online? I’m also taking anthropology and humanities this upcoming fall online.

So I read over 100 pages of last years transfer thread from 5/14-6/3. SCA decisions did not seem to go out in one large bulk. The first person to hear back was an internal transfer on the 16th. It seemed that external transfers started hearing on the 20th and continued receiving news until the June deadline.

@theyadoreyou‌ how can you find the date people posted on last years thread? I just see “May 2013” or “June 2013” when I look at it.

@LAHarbor24‌ if you hover over the month/year the date appears.

@NCXfer‌ no, there are some classes that do not transfer. For example, from my current institution to USC, only our 102, 203, 204 and a few 300 levels transfer. As a Spanish Minor, luckily all of my classes transfer thus far. But since my french class is a 101, it does not transfer.

I’d look at your school’s articulation agreement with USC.

For all applicants wondering what classes will transfer, use the following links to check your articulation agreements:

For students at 4-year Universities, CC’s outside of California: <a href=“USC-Articulation Agreement”>Error;
For California CC’s: <a href=“USC-Articulation Agreement”>Error;

Good luck!

@NCXfer‌ I completely misread your question…hahaha. My apologies - but I still would encourage you to check articulations.

I just called Admissions office and asked about Dornsife/Psych major applications and decisions. He said decision letters are going to come out anytime until the end of the May. (answer wasn’t clear at all…) but i guess it’s better than straight up “Oh, you’re rejected”.

Is the STARS interactive audit report ALWAYS updated before an applicant receives his or her acceptance letter?

@MPCCBT‌ based on last years thread, nope! Some people didn’t even have access to oasis and got their letter in the mail!

@wdemasters02 the AA history for my CC is very thin because it’s in NC. There are a few classes listed that will transfer, but I read on the brochure yesterday that FL classes taken online will not transfer. I was wondering about anthropology, humanities, etc. classes taken online as well since it doesn’t say anything about them.
