@jess310 yes, USC’s website says that courses taken for credit/no credit can affect an admissions decision. I would think this is true specially if they found out after they made you an offer.

Still no acceptance or rejections from SCA? I should receive an email from DHL when admitted because I’m from Holland, but unfortunately still nothing. If I receive an email from DHL I will post it straight away!

So if you are an junior transfer and receive an sgr, is that definitely an bad sign? Sophomore transfers obviously receive SGR’s because they do not have enough credits for usc to make an reliable decision on their application. I have been contemplating this for several days and I have finally decided to speak up. Any other junior transfers get an sgr or anyone willing to offer insight into this?
I have a 3.7 gpa and I applied to dornsife for neuroscience btw if you guys are wondering if I have a low gpa or whatnot? My EC’s are pretty good and my writing supplement was okay in my opinion.

@almxy45 I’m a junior transfer and did not get SGR yet… I don’t think it’s a bad sign. They just want to see how you’re doing in spring semester/quarter.

thanks @transfersammy My anxiety is an all time high right now. Good luck with usc. Did you apply to nyu as well? I was just on the nyu thread and I thought I saw you on there.

@almxy45 I got one as a junior transfer and I’m happy about it. I have a lower GPA (3.41) but I have a very strong upward trend. I think this is there way of asking me to show that my upward trend continues, which it has, and then they will make their decision. Just get a 4.0 this semester and that’s all you can do.

@Hepburn We are in the same boat!! Good Luck. From now on, I am not going to check usc connect until june 3rd. What school and major did you apply to?? I didn’t get an 4.0 this semester because I had a lot of things going on and pretty difficult classes. I got a C in one of my classes and I have never ever gotten a C, hopefully admissions isn’t too harsh on me for the C. Fingers crossed …

@almxy45 Dornsife, Political Science. Did you send your grades in yet?

Any of you guys hear that USC may play Alabama in football in 2016? That would be absolutely insane

^Yeah UCLA and SC are scheduling some great out of conference games. UCLA got Texas A&M 16-17, and LSU 2021-2022.

Any Dornsife, Psych major heard back or got SGR yet?! Am I the only one who didn’t hear anything from USC… -_-

Just to be clear - does the Activity Restrictions being updated on Oasis mean anything?

Has anyone, who noticed that their Activity Restrictions was updated, got in?

I just went on oasis and my stars report, my interactive audit stars report were filled out. And also there were activity restrictions updated

@olo59u Well, Congratulations! You must have been accepted if your Stars Interactive Audit Report was filled out! Just a quick question - when was your Activity Restrictions updated? Mine was updated about 2 hours ago.

@greengecko well, my report is filled out but my courses that I plan on transferring are not there, is that normal? and my activity restrictions were updated yesterday morning.

My semester doesn’t even end till June 9. I’m for sure not finding out in July. it’s nice to get SGR with three weeks to go, now I know to go into hardcore study mode haha.

What does oasis do exactly? im a little lost

@olo59u Unless it means they are updating it to officially reject us, I don’t see how it could be a bad thing…right? haha

okay so I just noticed that although my stars reports were filled out and have changed, the major listed is undeclared for bachelor of arts letters and science…but both my first and second choice majors in the application were in annenberg…

@olo59u you might have been admitted as undeclared. Meaning USC still wants you there, you’ll just have to try for an internal transfer to get into annenberg.
