Official USC 2014 Transfer Thread

Just submitted my spring grades via Connect (received SGR dated 5/13). 4 A’s and a B in calculus for Marshall. :-S Fingers are crossed!

And now for some more waiting!! :-w

Maybe we can’t see the previous financial aid page anymore because their semester ended and it’s all going to be updated?

Hey, so after I got my SGR on USC Connect, I got a random email from an admissions counselor also asking for my spring grades. Is that the norm? Or does that mean I’m like a borderline candidate and it’s really all dependent on how I did this spring?

@CoutCin It just depends on your counselor whether or not you receive an email. Some people didn’t even get an actual mailed letter and just got the one on USConnect.

Hey fellow applicants!

Just wanted to share the news - I got my official acceptance letter just now in my email. So my audit report and everything was a definite sign of acceptance.

And to the user who always reminds us, yes I will put my stats on the stats thread. :D

Good luck everyone! Stay positive - I got my acceptance this week and you might too!

@wdemasters02‌ how far are you from USC?

@sielburt Like I said I got my letter from the Admissions Office for the School of Architecture through my email. I’m in Cincinnati, Ohio.

I should also say there are no notifications or changes on my USConnect too.

I was admitted to Marshall on Tuesday. I got the yellow taco today. Keep the hope alive guys. If it’s meant to be it will come. I’m in the OC by the way.

@wdemasters02‌ in your email… That’s odd. I didn’t know admissions sent emails. I thought it was 100% by paper mail. Interesting. Congrats!!

@sielburt yeah I know I didn’t think so either. I think the difference is that I got the email from the school of architecture admissions office - not the general office of admissions for USC. Maybe the general Office of Admissions doesn’t send letters but some colleges do.

So I, like many others, have been following this thread for a while, but eventually gave in and made an account. So I am a Viterbi hopeful, and I have not heard anything at all, which seems to be the norm. However, I did recently get an email from the Financial Aid Office, and was wondering if anyone else received this email? It basically was giving me tips to afford USC and a link to their video. I’ve been trying to not look into it too much, but I would love to know if others have also received this email. Thank you!

To transfers who have been accepted:

Have you registered for orientation? If so, did you have to wait a day or more after changing your USC (email) password to be able to log in to USCnet to register?

I can log in to email but not USCnet and I received and changed my temporary password about 2 hours ago.

Any word on viterbi?

@transfersammy I hope your right, but if it doesn’t happen, i’m totally at peace with it. I applied for fine arts at Roski

@scahopeful‌ my stats are not impressive!
gpa:3.5, about 64 units, I will have completed all generals for USC by the end of spring.

Alright, it’s 12:00… y’all know the drill…
Everybody, check under your chairs!!!
(No status change for me on Connect)

Did anyone else get an email from the financial aid office earlier today? I got one about applying for financial aid and payment plans etc. I thought it was a weird email to get because I didn’t apply for financial aid and it is way to late anyway. It was a generic email.

@whamson‌
Definitely a generic email; I got it too and I didn’t apply for financial aid either.

I was accepted into my second choice major :frowning: Still pretty freakin excited though! But does anyone know how difficult it is to transfer into Annenberg?

do they send an email before a paper mail acceptance?
