Official USC 2014 Transfer Thread

@uclammg‌, at what time was your IAR filled out on the 23rd and do you live close to SC?

Sorry, I am just trying to estimate a date when I might get a packet.

Anyone who was SGR’d or accepted, be sure to put your stats and such on the USC Transfer Decisions 2014 Thread. Link: <a href=“USC Transfer Decisions 2014 - Transfer Students - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/transfer-students/1645573-usc-transfer-decisions-2014.html</a></p>

To the people talking about OASIS and financial aid, I wasn’t able to log in to OASIS until about a week ago after I applied for financial aid and they started to review it (I was very late, I know). Restrictions still say 1/28 though and I’m a SGR. Definitely confusing.

@BigbytheWolf your restrictions are the date they received your application

I applied for Financial Aid and it still says on my USConnect that they haven’t received it. Should I call on Tuesday?

does anyone know when the transfer report will be filled out? Is it only if I SIR (aka confirm I’m going to usc)

according to Oasis, I’m not getting credit for anything at all.

So I’m seeing a lot of SGR/acceptances, but does any one know of any transfers who have been rejected?

I am an admitted student. I have a question: How do I know am I entered as a freshmen, sophomore or junior?? I didn’t see any clue according to my offer.

This may be a stupid question but on USC connect within the financial aid section there is the required info and forms tab…there is a enrollment and housing supplement form along with some other forms listed when I click on the tab. Does this mean I am most likely going to be accepted?

@fdomiguez no worries. Stars report was filled out at 4:25 pm and my audit report at 5:14 pm. My admissions letter is also dated May 23rd. I live in downtown Los Angeles, which is a mile away from USC.

@goforusc12‌ look at the stars report on oasis it tells you what classes transfer and how many you have an the class you are entering not the stars interactive, but the one above it class stars report

@Paguy8‌ I still can’t successfully log into OASIS. Should I call?

Can I apply FA after received admission?

Is anyone’s last update on Oasis still at around January?

ACCEPTED FOR FALL ADMISSION VIA USCONNECT THIS MORNING!!

I feel like there’s gunna be a huge rejection wave on June 2nd

@goforusc12‌ I would even if you aren’t considering other schools at least you will be able to find out what you have left for your major, and what you have completed. Also for aid I’m sure you can, but you won’t receive much if anything because it was after the date, but you still can.

@goforusc12‌ - you have missed ALL financial aid deadlines http://www.usc.edu/admission/fa/dates.html</a> , and so USC’s guarantee to meet your USC-determined need does not apply to you. That said, I have seen multiple cases where very late financial aid applicants receive sufficient financial aid to make attending USC possible.

IMMEDIATELY file the FAFSA and the CSS/Profile. Do not delay. Good luck.

*For others applying in the future: USC is NEED BLIND. There is NO advantage in not applying for need-based aid. Even if there was an advantage (and there isn’t) what good does it do to be accepted to a school without aid if you cannot afford to go?

@Coolkid094 I believe that the rejections will be on june 2nd as well. USC beats around the bush and plays with ppls damn emotions too much man. They should just send out the damn rejection letters now. What the hell is the point of waiting until the last absolute damn date to tell ppl that. Thats like me telling everybody on this site to enter a contest to win $20 million on july 1st, and during the course of this contest i’ve already selected those who aren’t winning anything…yet i continue to tell them to keep logging on to the site until july 1st…Thats called building false hope and f ucking with people’s emotions…USC needs to change their admissions policy because it is s hit. At least the UC’s release rejections at the same time they release acceptances…USC doesn’t even try to make things interesting…they release all acceptances early and we are supposed to believe on june 2nd alot of ppl will be accepted??..get the hell out of here with that garbage…USC admissions sucks balls. just saying the truth not trying to knock the school.

@kyle2015 Woah there cowboy. I will agree that many rejections are sent later on but rejections are pretty much sprinkled throughout (with a high concentration of them being sent out around the final date for a decision). But there have been rejections sent in May. Just because you don’t see it on CC as much doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen.

Acceptances are pretty much a toss up and typically a lot sent around the end of May and mid-June (not so much during other times but it does happen–for example the transfer applicant that got accepted in March and the many who get accepted in mid-May/late June-early July).

I get what you’re saying and to some extent I agree but give them some credit.
