Official USC 2014 Transfer Thread

Also what do you guys think the chances of SGRd applicants getting rejected who turned in a 4.0?

@spiffyboi Thanks! but It wasn’t me that said something about high GPAs being accepted first. I think it was another poster with “Marshall” in their screen name. I believe there isn’t any real rhyme or reason to their admission process. haha.

@MarshallBound my restrictions have been since 5/02 but my stars audit date has never changed since I first logged on in april

We always said that the filled out STARS IAR indicated an acceptance but not having it filled out WITH THE RESTRICTIONS UPDATED we weren’t sure of. There was never a theory regarding an OASIS that has never been touched at all (no restrictions, STARS, or anything). The person who said they got in and reported that everything was the same as before online implied that nothing changed for them at all (so I assume that their restrictions date was still the same).

@peaceluvtheater very low unless there were many classes dropped and/or it was a cakewalk schedule

@scahopeful‌ Your posts are so great
I was just about to post a question regarding the updated restrictions but nothing filled out… there’s still hope I guess :slight_smile:

@peaceluvtheater‌ I know the feelin…I remember only getting two hours of sleep the night before an early exam. Let’s just say it didn’t go as well as I planned and I really regret constantly contemplating about USC’s decision then. It’s really inevitable for most of us who desire to attend the university though.
To answer your question about having a 4.0 and being sgred…the chances of you being accepted / rejected is still in up in the air. We don’t know and none of us can tell you that you have a great chance of being accepted because it would be arrogant to say so. There were a couple qualified students in last year’s thread who received a 4.0 during their spring term and were still rejected. But I will say that I’d much rather have a 4.0 or anything remotely close to it than a gpa near the end of the other side of the spectrum. Good luck!

Just got the PDF! Accepted Marshall for Fall; Decisions Thread here I come!

Thanks everyone, you guys made the wait a hell of a lot easier and one good ride, anyone want to know anything about my acceptance HMU.

I also just got a PDF. Accepted for Spring 2015. On the letter it says that If I want to be considered for Fall 2014, I have to submit the intent to enroll by MAY 1ST. However, I just got the PDF tonight. Any of you know what is the chance being moved to Fall 2014?? or any of you know what are their major considerations to put me in SPRING? I got 126 units and I have finished USC’S General Electives.

where do you find out if you get into USC through online? if so where online? and the mail?

@alohaloha That could just be a freshman prompt that wasn’t updated for transfers. Call the admissions office later on today and they should give you the correct date. Congrats!

@Spiffyb0i I agree. I think that it depends solely on enrollment outcome.

@fdominguez‌ Congrats!!! See you in the fall :slight_smile:
@alohaloha‌ You mean June 1st right? No idea what the chances are but it may be upon how many people decide to enroll for the fall? I would still enroll asap if USC is your first choice and financials aren’t a huge concern. Nonetheless, congrats!
@firstgenstudent‌ USConnect.

@alohaloha‌ Teach me how to sweet talk an admission counselor. How did you bypass the generic “You will hear by June 3rd” phrase.

@alohaloha‌ Congrats!

@Spiffyb0i‌ Thanks, I’ll be round!

By the way guys I don’t think that calling admissions will give you accurate reliable responses, I called yesterday and was told my decision had not been made, yet my PDF dates back to the 25th.

You are probably better off calling or emailing your admissions counselor like @alohaloha did.

@fdominguez That’s what I meant haha. Call them because they almost never answer emails lol

I was SGR’d a few weeks ago and sent it in last week. Yesterday, they said they received it and now my OASIS stars report lists my major and I have access to other things on the site I didn’t have before like a transfer report (albeit it is empty). Do you guys think this is a good indicator?

@sorakeybade read the last page, it should help :)

I just e-mail my counselor, asking whether a decision has been made for me @MarshallBound‌ :slight_smile: I wish you luck!!

@alohaloha Congrats to you! If only my counselor was so kind as to give me such a hint.

@scahopeful‌ @Spiffyb0i‌ @fdominguez‌ thankk you :slight_smile: see you guys in USC :)

@Trojfan131‌ thankk youuu :slight_smile: I wish you luck . June 3rd is near
