Does USC send decisions through the normal mail system or does it come through someone else? I have already received my mail today, that’s why I am asking.

@fadumbear They send it priority, so it gets to you 1-3 days after they ship it, and yes it comes with normal mail.

@transferr2014 Be happy that you got in in the first place? You’re really lucky.

@MarshallBound‌ where abouts in the SGV are you from? Maybe they’re saving us for last? *crosses fingers, toes, and eyes *

@lilmoe2014‌ Well I go to Mt. SAC. I really hope they are saving us for last, but the reality is we probably have till Monday to see if the activity restriction changes and the Oasis fills out. If not, I’m almost certain you know what… Another thing is I’ve yet to see someone get an acceptance on June 1st/3rd on here. What about you?

@transferr2014 - At least you’re in, and you’re going to go, right bro?

@MarshallBound‌ I also attend Mt. SAC, but with each passing day my hope gradually fades. My restrictions were last updated on 5/16, I am trying to stay optimistic. With that being said, I applied at the last minute (submitted on 2/18). If I am rejected, I will be attending another year at Mt. SAC and trying again next year.

Anybody get accepted from the east coast? I feel like all of the people getting accepted are from Cali as of now.

@bobo79 Not from the east coast, but I live in the suburbs of Chicago. I think its just that a vast majority are from California, but I bet there have been OOS acceptances. Good luck!

Does anyone know how long it usually takes to get a response after spring grades are received by USC? I know they say “mid-july” but what has the pattern been? I think all of this waiting is slowly killing me…

Does anyone know of an active FB group?

@gabbyrrr‌ One person who has received an SGR has a strong indicator of being accepted based on Oasis. But do expect to wait until mid-july if you haven’t heard back yet.

Hey everyone. I’ve been lurking for a while and finally decided to make an account. My restrictions updated on the 21st and I haven’t had any updates or contact from USC. I’m pretty sure that indicates rejection based on past threads. What do you guys think? At this point I don’t even mind if I’m rejected, but I think it’s pretty cruel of USC to make people wait for bad news, especially if my decision was made on the 21st.

@MarshallBound‌ I just found out about Oasis last night so I logged in but my restrictions haven’t been updated since Jan, the day I turned in my application. So i have no clue what that means? ha :expressionless: I just sent my spring grades in on tuesday but I feel so anxious. I guess we all do right? ha

@Anticipation2014‌ I don’t think USC is purposely waiting until the last minute to send out rejections; rather, it is more efficient to mark all the rejected applicants and print it out all at once and mail them all together. Are you located in the SGV by the way?

@ssourialle could never get on oasis. This is for financial aid from what I have read.

@MarshallBound‌ Nope, I’m from Delaware. Okay for the sake of organization I understand mass mailing on a specific date but why wait to update connect? Sorry to sound like a complainer. It’s just frustrating lol.

I often see people on here complaining about how “cruel” or “messed up” it is that USC makes us wait so long for a rejection, and believe me, I know your pain. But I think that we need to try and appreciate what they are up against. They have a tremendous workload and they want to admit as many people as possible. As the admissions cycle progresses, many admitted applicants decline their offers for admission because they are going somewhere else. When that happens, another spot opens up for the remaining applicants! Wouldn’t it be a shame if they could have offered you that spot, except for the fact that they already rejected you back in April? Once somebody gets rejected, they can’t be “un-rejected,” so I think that it’s good that they wait to give rejections until the end. Just my $0.02.

@Anticipation2014‌ @dmdwelle‌ You both have valid points, but I guess we will never know the true answer to this. On another bad news, I called the admissions office to my other college and they say that there is no way in extending the enrollment deposit. SMH… =D>
