Did you stars and restrictions update close to the same time or did your restrictions update first and then your stars report update an week later?

@devoney Could you give some more detail regarding your aid? I’m getting nervous about receiving my FA package.

And did your restrictions change twice since you received an sgr? Once, when they have started reviewing your spring term grades. . And another time when they have made an decision on your application after receiving your spring grades?
@scahopeful

sorry I am asking a lot of questions. Just extremely anxious after receiving that restrictions change on your Friday and still no audit report. (I received an sgr by the way)

"Please have your parent submit documentation from his or her last employer to verify his or her termination or separation, retirement, reduction in wages or disability, or other change in status.

Include the date of the status change, all income received through that date, and any other income to be received (such as severance pay, pension, etc.). Include a copy of his or her pay stub showing year-to-date income."

I agree you should call USC tomorrow. But I think what the FA office wants is some type of documentation on your mom’s income. Does she have an employer for part of the year or is she self employed? If she has an employer, then when they lay you off at the end of the season, they give you paperwork which states any severance pay she may get. If she is old enough to get a pension from her employer, then you should get paperwork for that also. You need that paperwork from her employer that terminates her from their company stating the terms of the termination. If she is self-employed, then you need to tell them that.

Since she gets unemployment, I’m guessing she has an employer who is paying her unemployment insurance.

Chances are that your mom gets nothing other than her wages when she is working and unemployment when she is not working. The FA office is looking for “secret money” that isn’t always listed as wages. If there is nothing else, than you need to just tell them that and they should process your Financial Aid award with just her seasonal wages and unemployment and your Dad’s pay also. Don’t worry unless there is another source of money. Good luck and congratulations on your acceptance.

Is anyone going to be doing “USC Managed” housing?

To those who haven’t received an decision,

What do you guys do to keep your mind of usc? I am usually working so i don’t think about sc a lot. But when I am not working, all I can think about is usc!! I start to doubt myself and get really anxious. Anybody else on the same boat.

@almxy45 When I checked OASIS on 5/28 they’d both already been updated. However, I’m not exactly sure if they updated at the same EXACT time but they have different dates on them (STARS IAR says 5/28 while Restrictions say 5/27).

Nope, my restrictions changed once before I received my acceptance package and again to 5/31 when I submitted my intent to enroll.

@almxy45 - As a sophomore transfer that has been given a SGR @ 5/7 - I’ve done nothing much, just checking once a day on OASIS and connect. I usually occupy myself by catching up on TV shows are going on hikes.

My restrictions have never been updated so I guess I’m waiting till Mid-July. Then again, I’m praying I get a decision soon, because I really want to enroll before the housing deadline, if I do get accepted. (I live in the East Coast attending a 4 year university) and I know I can’t pay monthly for an apartment (too expensive)

Delete

is sgr a good sign? I had all As this semester and now close to 60 cred

Also, is it okay for summer classes to show on the sgr i sent?

Im confused about oasis and uscnet…are they the same things? and im having trouble logging in…is that not available until my deposit has been processed?

@ccstudentIL Yes that’s fine

@almxy45 I am in the exact same boat as you! I just want a decision already. SC received my spring grades on wednesday so all I can do is wait and check Connect 10x a day. haha

@scahopeful
Even though I revived an sgr, I am losing hope of an acceptance with each day that passes without an audit report filled out. Trying to stay positive though but the usual trend I notice on cc for accepted students is this: restrictions change one day and the next day the person has an filled out audit report. Really praying that my audit report is filled out tomorrow

@IRforlife
Did you check to see if USC received your spring term grades by USC connect? I received an sgr around the same time as you and my restrictions were changed this past Friday (but my audit report is not filled out). Call your counselor for an follow up if you haven’t already done so.

@gabbyrrr

All we can do at this point is to stay positive and believe in ourselves. If we doubt ourselves, how can we think that admissions will faith in us to succeed at sc. I am definitely going to be disappointed if I get rejected but I am seriously not give up without at least an appeal.

Does the classes in our course cart for oasis mean anything? I had two writing classes listed for fall 2014 but now the semester changed to spring 2014. So confused lol

@almxy45 All right! I’ll make sure to call. I know that USConnect requested my SGR, and I turned it in, and it said that it did receive my SGR. I guess that’s what’s making me extremely nervous since no restrictions update since 1/31. My counselor has been extremely supportive so I’ll try to call him tomorrow, thank you!

@almxy45 Only classes that have disappeared from the course cart most likely mean an acceptance. That is, only if the restrictions updated very recently and you don’t see anymore of that red error in the SIAR report.

@Magico

It is on your OASIS> STAR REPORT> PERTINENT DATA SECTION
