It depends on where you go. Maybe like 3.5 for 4-year unis, and 4.0s for CCs. I was SGRed, but admitted before they received my spring grades at a 4 year uni.

Nobody knows

Once again, nobody knows.

@ipodtouch99‌ I was wondering the same thing. However I have already received my financial aid package and it said nothing about the transfer merit scholarship so I’m assuming I was not awarded one? Have others received the merit scholarship?

@devoney just wondering I just got my acceptance letter in the mail today how long did it take for you to get your financial aid package?

To those of you who uploaded your unofficial grades through USConnect for your SGR:
Uploaded my grades today. I got an electronic upload receipt in my email, but it still continues to say I need to upload the transcript under required documents.

Do they change this status after it is actually received by the admissions office, or do I just need to upload it again?

@spottedgiraffes‌ I’m pretty sure they change it after they receive it. Mine was the same way. I got an sgr on Wednesday and got accepted on Friday. So good luck!

@Ecort14‌ Thanks! Haha. I’m hopeful, but super nervous.
Congratulations! That was a really fast acceptance! :slight_smile:

@spottedgiraffes‌

Look at usc connect in the received documents section under admissions, to see If the doc shows there. Mine does, but still says they need it in that other area. I think they received it, but haven’t relooked at my app again since the upload and once they do, the the sgr will disappear.

@ecort14, so you got sgr’ed just this past wednesday? what were your stats?

@estara89 I’m transferring from a CA CC with a 3.94 GPA. 64 units completed. If you have any more questions I’m willing to answer them.

@Ecort14‌ What was your GPA for your SGR? :smiley:
I have all As and 2 Bs so I’m worrying a little bit.

@spottedgiraffes Do you go to a cc or a 4 yr?

@spottedgiraffes‌ 4.0

@USCTransfer28‌ CC. The two Bs made my spring GPA around a 3.7, but I know USC is into upward grade trends and it bumped up my overall GPA by quite a bit. I’m surprised they honestly even asked me for a SGR.

@Ecort14‌ Thanks for answering the question!

Do you guys know if they look at the gpa on your transcript or the total gpa for the transferable classes for USC? Or possibly both? My transfer gpa should be higher than what is on my transcript.

@5nonnegotiables‌ I also still have the spring grade request pdf on connect however it says they received the grades. So what you’re saying is they probably haven’t reviewed them yet?

@gabbyrrr yes that’s what I think. I’m thinking maybe after all regular acceptances and rejections go out tomorrow, then they’ll have time to look at the people who sent in spring grades. What do u think?

Does USC update your status on USConnect at midnight? Is this true?

How long after sending in our Spring grades should we expect to hear back? I got my SGR on 05/01 and sent them my grades on 05/28. Just curious to know long it has taken for most people to hear back.

@5nonnegotiables‌ hmm possibly, I have seen a few SGR’s receive a decision already though. Maybe they go in order of when you got the request? What day did you get a SGR?

@successiA‌ I sent mine in on the 29th and still nothing
