Official USC 2014 Transfer Thread

@KimberlyLaila Your opinion is certainly welcome, as there is good and bad to everything. However, just be cautious of essentially trying to declare USC as a s*** school in a forum filled with people who would love to have the opportunity to go there. If it wasn’t the right school for your sister, fair enough. However, that does not mean it is a bad school by any means.

Good day

SGR Update: I uploaded my transcript today and just a few hours later it was gone from the required documents and my restrictions were updated and my course cart was emptied. However I still see the red error message in the course cart

@KimberlyLaila I’m sure if USC couldn’t support their number of students they wouldn’t have admitted that many.

I think people see numbers and go crazy.

There aren’t literally 35,000 people on campus at once. It’s college not high school. There are people who study abroad, graduate early, and not all people have class everyday. At best there are probably around 8,000-10,000 people (students and staff included) on campus at any given moment. Which in reality is not that many (considering one of the high schools I went to–significantly smaller than a college campus–housed nearly 4,000 people at the same time and we never rubbed elbows)

Also, I didn’t make the middle school comment nor do I live in LA. I think people are confused as to why you came into the thread, randomly, to trash USC when everyone in here (for the most part) has dreamed of getting into the school for years.

OMG GUYSSSS My audit report is filled out!!!

It’s filled out for my second choice major (Business Admin) my first choice was broadcast journalism

Good news! I think. After waking up and checking my USC connect account I was surprised to see that “Intent to enroll” and the transfers facebook group has been added to my page. If this has happened to other people who got in does that mean I got accepted?

@StevieWin‌ You’re in!! That happened to me and the next day I was able to open the “intent to enroll” and I believe either that same day or the day after I received the lovely yellow package in the mail!!

I sent my official transcript two weeks ago and still nothing, not even a change in restrictions or a change in the report.
It’s like they haven’t even looked at it.
So nervous…

@finefreshfierce If you would like to try to transfer into Broadcast Journalism, contact Annenberg and explain to them this interest. I got in as undeclared, but was able to transfer into Broadcast Journalism, so if you still want that it can definitely happen.

I was not expecting anything today but I just received my acceptance packet!! I’m shaking!!! Good luck to everyone still waiting on a decision!!!

About a month ago I successfully logged into Oasis using my USC as the username and bday(mm/dd/yyyy) as the password, however I am unable to log in again. I’ve tried using my birthday again and even my usconnect password but i just cant log in again. Insight??

@troymax4‌ I thought that OASIS makes you change the password after your first login. Not positive on that but I think that I was forced to change mine. Did you perhaps update the password and forget?

So exciting to see others get their acceptances! Congrats guys!

Although it is becoming increasingly frustrating every time I check Connect/Oasis to see no updates.

@dmdwelle‌ I dont remember changing the password after I logged in that one time - maybe I did but forgot! If thats the case, is there a way to request a pw change?

Yay! Now that I got accepted what are the next steps I should do? I haven’t seen my financial aide package yet which would probably affect my decision to commit. Where can I view potential classes?

@troymax4‌ send an email to register@usc.edu requesting a PIN reset. Include your USC ID number, a scanned copy of your drivers license or passport, and a brief statement asking for a password reset.

Seeing all these acceptances makes me feel like they are going to run out of spots before they even receive my grades ahhhhh.

@dmdwelle‌ okay thanks, i’ll try that out! Do they know/ care that applicants use Oasis? B/c i know its purpose is for students

@troymax4‌ I apologize, I thought that you were admitted already. If you are not then no, I would not email them. They don’t want applicants using OASIS.

@dmdwelle‌ No worries man! I just wish I had something else to obsess about other than just connect lol this madness needs to end
