@5nonnegotiables Congratulations! I wouldn’t worry about the stars report, they seem super busy so they probably need some time to catch up with everything else! Sounds super exciting!

@natalie41 I wouldn’t worry too much! You should definitely be hearing soon! Most SGR’s have had pretty good luck!

I sent in my spring grades using TranscriptsPlus to the following address:
UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSIONS
UNIV OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
UNIVERSITY PARK CAMPUS
LOS ANGELES, CA 90089-0911
And I screen-shotted my unofficial transcript through my school’s website and uploaded it on connect. However, it is still under “Required Documents.” I did this on 6/10…How do I know if USC has received my spring grades?!

@husli08 I would contact admissions and ask them about it. I’m not sure the process you took as I formally had them sent from my college just in case. Mine were received relatively quick, but maybe they’re just a little backlogged? Easiest way would be to give them a quick call!

@jkahoes I just called and they said they have received them! I guess all I can do now is wait…I would enter as a Sophomore with a 3.72 GPA to Marshall. Not really sure what my chances are with a GPA that low…

@5nonnegotiables congrats!

@5nonnegotiables were you the person who sent their grades in may 30th?!

For those who were rejected, were their restrictions updated before rejection? Or did it never update and you just got the rejection notification

@husli08 Your GPA truly isn’t that low, especially being a transfer student!

I wouldn’t worry about it too much. USC seems to be pretty good about balancing the grades, ecs, and essay stuff. If you were pretty good with all the other staff, essays, recommendation letters and ec’s I wouldn’t sweat it!

Congrats @5nonnegotiables! So exciting!

@natalie41 I uploaded my unofficial transcript on May 28th or 29th. Then had my official transcript sent. My sgr was showing forever in required docs section in connect, so I called and emailed admissions to confirm they had them, about the week before last. i then got an email reply, a week later from admissions confirming receipt. The next day no more req. doc and the sgr was gone. I also got a call yesterday from my advisor saying they had them and sorry about the confusion.

@5nonnegotiables
when did you hear back exactly?
i sent in my stuff at almost precisely the same time and i’m just curious.
but congrats!
fight on!

I uploaded unofficial transcripts on May 15th and Sent officials on 19th, but haven’t heard back at all. Should I call Admissions to ask when I should expect to receive a decision?

@USCTransfer28 Wouldn’t hurt to call. I sent transcripts mid May and actually the end of May and heard back on the 10th of June.

Doesn’t hurt to just ask them!

@clemtransfer2014 thx!!!

I am excited and feel really lucky, because also there are so many other amazing applicants as well.

So, it was posted as an update on my stars at about 3am this morning, so I saw when I woke up. There is almost a whole month left to make decisions, and I think sgr are a good sign personally.

@jkahoes okay thanks! I’ll call and see what they say. Just so nervous about hearing back

@usctransfer28 I wouldn’t feel too nervous! Seems SGR for the most part has been a good sign. For the most part USC just wants to see that applicants didn’t screw up their spring semester!

@5nonnegotiables I sent my stuff literally exactly the same times, and the transcripts processed the same day too! I also got my SGR at the end of april. On USC connect does it still say that they received your Common App and no materials need to be submitted and blah blah or does it say a decision is made and you will be notified?

@dmdwelle @scahopeful Thanks! Funny that I asked the question about Financial Aid because this morning I got the answer and it was VERY VERY generous. As it turns out, USC granted me more gift aid than the cost of tuition!! The rest of the cost of attendance, such as housing etc, will be covered by PELL grants and loans (which I will not take out). My EFC is 00000 by the way - since the GI Bill does not count toward the “needs” calculation.

I was worried about it because the GI Bill only covers half of the tuition at USC but since I got a huge university grant, I don’t need to worry about it. Looks up toward the sky and thanks the universe

So is it safe to say that if my STARS report now shows up (it appeared today) I got in? I got an SGR on 5/2 and submitted grades last friday

@scahopeful By that I mean the campus was too small to support that many people. Obviously, no one would complain if (s)he said that they felt the campus could support that amount of people. And me being in “middle school” has nothing to do with it. You might feel different bcuz ur acustomed to LA but we’re from a different area where people don’t act the way the do in LA.JUst sharing my opinion on the forum. I honestly don’t even know what the guy before me said but just bcuz what I talked about wasn’t in relation to his comment isn’t something to get mad about.
