<p>@greengecko I read that it was due to “glitches in the system” but I’m not sure if it was true (I didn’t read it from anything USC affiliated).</p>
<p>Here are various conclusions from overheard speculation:
-There were not nearly as many transfer applicants (before the extension) as previous years
-There were as many applicants as previous years but SC wanted more so they could lower their acceptance rate while actually accepting more students
-There were glitches in the system (see above) that effected a significant amount of people
-They felt the deadline was too soon (??)
-[Insert horrible speculation for extending the deadline here]</p>
