Official USC 2014 Transfer Thread

@Spiffyb0i‌ mine is blank too! But I was able to see it when I used my school computer so maybe there’s some program we are missing or something

@spiffyb0i Use internet explorer. Chrome doesn’t load the page.

Maybe we can find a pattern here. What timestamp does everyone else have next to PREPARED: at the top of the page? It says mine was prepared on 04/11/14 at around 8 o’clock.

It doesn’t work on my Chrome browser (well at least not on my Macbook) but it works perfectly on Safari. And it’s the opposite on my iPhone. USC Connect even has an issue on one and not the other.

I KNEW IT! I should have never even posted about “Oasis” a few days ago. @scahopeful I told you my post would start a frenzy.

I think the idea is, if EVERYONE who applies to USC has the same thing on “O—s,” then it doesn’t mean anything. Fun fact: I HAD ACCESS TO OASIS IN 2012 WHEN I DIDNT EVEN COMPLETE THE APPLICATION PROCESS. That goes to show that Oasis doesn’t mean anything.

It has now lol

@CoutCin Thanks!

I use Mozilla, but I tried internet explorer on my tablet and it worked. Apparently it’s not “secure information” so there was a pop-up asking me about it when I used internet explorer. I must have something in my security settings that’s not allowing it to display. So for anyone else who can’t see it, definitely try using Internet Explorer!

According to my computer I’ve checked OASIS 151 times so far, and we still have another month till decisions come out D: How are we going to last?

@epicer thanks it worked on Safari. Man a lot of us seem really anxious to get in haha. We got another month and that’s going to pass by pretty quickly.

Hi guys

I’ve been following this thread for a while now.

@5nonnegotiables‌

That is pretty interesting. I have a few friends who are also applying for transfer and we’ve been debating that same oasis registration thing over the past week also. Some of us can get in and some can’t. The colleges Ive attended at least, I wasn’t able to access registration like that unless I was a student. So we were thinking that it could be some indicator. Anyways maybe its not, but maybe its not any different from speculating on getting in or not getting for people who get midterm grade requests or emails about scholarships or other emails from the school right.

So I’ve already submitted my sir to Ucla, but I’m holding out for usc.

Thx for the info.

Fight on!

@KappaTransfer did they try the right combination of things? I’ve noticed for some people the whole date works, (mm/dd/yyyy), for others just the mm/dd/yy. The reason why many people say ACCESS ONLY isn’t an indicator of acceptance is because some people get in even if they haven’t finished the application, many get in and still get rejected, some who can’t get in until later end up getting accepted before they even get in, etc. Many who ‘can’t get in’, however, just can’t because for whatever reason the 1st time passcode is different for them.

Congrats on UCLA!

Sidenote: Why does the date on OASIS change? Like sometimes it’s Fall 2014 and others it’s Spring 2015? What’s everyone’s date?

Nice

blank OASIS page -.-

Does anyone get this on their financial aid page in OASIS?

@Karlos your link is broken

When I go to the Financial Aid Status page, nothing shows up for me. Is that because I did not sign up for any financial aid?

haha oh jeeze… When we say Oasis doesn’t mean anything, we’re not speculating… Oasis is NOT indicative of anything. It’s the same thing that went on in last year’s thread and in the 2012 thread. I’ve just read through several pages of this thread with consecutive comments about Oasis despite the fact that several of us who have gone through this before have said that Oasis doesn’t mean anything. If you’re checking it to occupy your time? Then by all means, go for it. I will reiterate again, though… it is irrelevant to adcom decisions.

I wondered how long it was going to take.

Hi guys, I have a question…
I applied for Environmental science and health, a major that was started 2 years ago. Does that mean the competition is very low to get in?

A few days ago, I immediately got excited to see that my star audit interactive report had the WRIT 140 on OASIS, but quickly realized it must have meant that they began to review my application and automatically fill the portion out when doing so! Whatever it is, I can’t wait to find out the decision! Looking at the 2012 and 2013 past transfer thread around May and June really helps! They were all just as anxious as all of us- if not more. Another way they checked was by USConnect the 4 boxes- meaning the undergrad box, enrollment deposit box were there and the EDC meant you were in! Fight on!! :v:

@Karlos You could have looked back 1-2 pages where I stated mine was blank. It doesn’t work for Chrome and possibly Firefox also. Use a different browser. I used Safari and it worked for me. If you don’t have Safari, try Internet Explorer.

@anyabel I don’t think anyone here could answer that question with certainty. It is difficult to get into any program at USC, period. I’m sure you know or read previously that a 3.7+ GPA is competitive. 2nd level writing course and third year language requirement are mandatory (for all majors except Marshall and Engineering). Completion of core GEs and any required additional courses are STRONGLY recommended for admission. I believe for Environmental Science and Health, you should complete an equivalent of BISC 120 and 220 as well as CHEM 150ab (chem I and II). Don’t forget about ECs.

Also, no one can really “Chance” you but a good rule of thumb is the higher GPA the better (taken at a “full-time” course load).

Just checked my USConnect and got a SGR…

@hopefultrojan9
Did you officialy get it?.. Does it say “Spring grade require” ?
