Official USC 2015 Transfer Thread

I have a question… if I get a spring grade request, and finish with all A’s, is it close to a sure accept? Or does it not work like that?

I’m a rising sophomore, Neuroscience or Human Biology major

@ForeverGymnast21 @zettasyntax Right on, thanks so much you two!

Any SCA majors heard back?? I am DYING here. This wait is brutal

For anyone who got their acceptance packet in the mail: are your restrictions the same or changed on Oasis?

Does anyone know or have any personal experience regarding total cost of attendance, not just with USC but in general, do colleges generally overestimate? I feel like the $67k they estimated is pretty high.

@NCXfer Yeah when I went online and saw the estimated tuition for next year I was hoping that they over estimated it or something, 67K is nearly 70K which is too much for a year of school in my opinion. I also heard that USC is very generous with their financial aid, I doubt anyone at USC is paying around 67K this year too.

Ughhh did anyone below a 4.0 get accepted to Marshall yet?? I have a 3.77 and all these acceptances are making me worried sick :frowning:

I guess there was a 3.88 accepted a couple days ago ahah…

I just got an SGR yesterday for Marshall.

Based on last years decisions, SCA won’t hear back until the week of 18th-22nd.

Additionally, Media Arts and Practice said they were trying to get their decisions to the admissions office by the end of this week, then another week or two for the admissions office to sort and distribute the decisions.

@jasmine2468 @itsconnord I’ve been reading through the past years threads and it looks like SCA makes decisions and sends them out around the 12th or 13th and most people were hearing back from the 15th of May on…most people around the 20th. Hope this helps a little with the anxiety. I guess if it comes before that we get a great surprise

I haven’t heard from Marshall yet either and I’m in the same boat. I haven’t received any notifications on my portal either…

Hey guys, so I applied with only 16 units and currently have 16 units in progress. I applied to be a sophomore transfer in Dornsife and got SGR yesterday. Is this considered a good or bad thing? Do most sophomore applicants get SGRs? I should have at the lowest a 3.81 this semester and hopefully a 4.0 if all goes well.

@jheintz Typically sophomore transfers get SGRs. I myself am a sophomore transfer in Dornsife (biochemistry) and I got an SGR yesterday as well. What’s your major? Also, are you on TTP?

Waiting on Marshall as well! I’m not too hopeful because my GPA is low, but I hope they will consider my alt major (Econ)

@mochibbycake may I ask what your GPA is?

@filmbuff24 I hope so. Did they ask you for any tax documents?

So a lot of of you who are got accepted – Did they ask you for some financial documents in advance? Did anyone not get asked for those and still get accepted??

@jasmine2468 I was accepted and was not asked for tax documents, although I was missing my parents’ 2014 tax return.

@applenana Did they ask you that a week before you got your acceptance?
And is Tax return a file you upload on YOUsc portal (sorry new to the states and dont understand how taxes work here)
