Still shaking and freaking out from getting accepted earlier today! I hadn’t heard anything, no SGR, no emails about financial aid, literally nothing. I had come to terms with getting rejected and then there that wonderful envelope was. So there’s still hope if you haven’t heard!
Since the “decisions” thread hasn’t been getting much action, I thought I’d post my stats here.
Transfer from John Jay college of criminal justice in NYC for my freshman year and Santa Monica College (CC) for my sophomore year. My John Jay grades were terrible, 2.5 GPA. 3.8 at SMC. Didn’t finish all the GEs. Finished all the prereqs. Really strong essay explained my history. 3 letters, one from SMC professor, and two from two different USC professors I’ve had professional and academic experience with. Dornsife Sociology Major.

I want to know if you guys got note of it before it came in the mail like on oasis or yousc ?
Someone on this forum who is familiar with last years thread be brutally honest with me. Did applicants who have heard absolutely nothing back at this point typically receive rejections? I feel like this was the last wave of admissions and that’s it. Don’t want to be pessimistic but I also don’t want to be hopelessly naïve either.
Btw congrats to everyone who was accepted!
Restrictions date is still 4/24/15… should I be worried people???
Or does anyone still have a pretty late restrictions date?
@treetreetree my oasis was updated yesterday and my stars report was filled out yesterday and today I got the acceptance. Still nothing on the yousc portal.
@TonyStark93 I don’t mean to be the bearer of bad news, but if I had to guess I would say that you’ve been denied. Just my opinion though. Good luck
My restriction is 2/3/2015 and has been like that forever without any change. My stars report was prepared at 5/11/15 and has not been updated or anything.
I should prepare for a rejection?
Right on. I go to smc as well and applied to dornsife, but nothing so far so hopefully I hear back tomorrow.
@jasmine2468 That Stars Report preparation date is when you first accessed OASIS so it means nothing. Restriction that long ago seems to mean that a final decision has not been made. If I had to guess I’d say that you will get an SGR
@NervousTurtle From what I remember, there were a ton of rejections around now, out of state and Viterbi admits. There were also a few spring admits that were in state without SGR, oasis/stars updates.
Hey guys my restrictions date has been stuck at 2/4/2015, but I got an SGR on April 28th. I’ve sent an official thru mail (CSU X notified me it was delivered to USC last Friday), an unofficial thru you.usc, and another thru my admissions counselor. However, the request for my spring grades hasn’t changed and my counselor hasn’t emailed me back. Should I be super worried?
