Official USC 2015 Transfer Thread

@piano1900 Congrats! When did you submit your SGR?

@TonyStark93 It should list transfer credits and requirements fulfilled.

@SCAstrojan This is what it says.

STARS Report
Sorry your StARS record is not available!

If you are a Graduate student: Please see your ADVISOR! An application for degree has not yet been filed. A STARS report cannot be made available until your Advisor has submitted an application for degree.

If you are an Undergraduate Student: If you have graduated in your major, STARS reports are no longer available for viewing on OASIS. You may request a transcript of your record at www.usc.edu/transcripts.

@jucery13 I got SGR on May 5th, and I submitted on 12th May

@TonyStark93 Yup, I’ll be honest that doesn’t look good. You may still get in, but I wouldn’t bet on it.

@SCAstrojan What about if your restrictions date hasn’t changed at all? I was around for the application cycle last year as well I know that it was a pretty bad sign if the restrictions updated and the stars report wasn’t filled out by the next day (or at the latest two days afterwards). I don’t remember much about the restrictions not changing though. I want to say it means an SGR, but I have a lot of units compared to last year. It’s just slightly different than how I was rejected last year I guess :stuck_out_tongue:

@zettasyntax If the restrictions date doesn’t change it seems to mean SGR, but I’m just guessing here basically. The only link for sure seems to be STARS report filling out means acceptance.

@zettasyntax @SCAstrojan That’s what Im saying.

NOTHING has changed for me. It’s been the same since I saw it.

And I’ve been looking at last years thread.

Some people’s restrictions/audit report changed on June 1st?

So i applied with a 3.67 with 65 credits at the time for dornsife health and humanity. I live in NJ and haven’t heard back yet. The only thing holding me back are 4 W’s and my spring 2014 semester I went from having a 3.8 every semester to a 2.4 for that semester due to a family issue which I briefly explained in my common app. I retook all of those said classes and basically all of those classes I took during that semester. How slim are my chances? I never got an SGR, never got an oasis update, nothing. I’m convinced im denied but then again I do live across the country so idk if that’s why I didnt get a package yet? Opinions?? thoughts?? please!

not really sure where I’m at now… no updates on you.usc, nothing in the mail, no emails about financial aid, no sgr, no oasis access, absolutely nothing.

@TonyStark93 I think what SCAstrojan may mean is that your restrictions date would have already changed. It usually starts as some date in January/February (when you first submit your application). Mine is currently 1/18/15 for instance, so mine hasn’t changed at all. I’m just as worried though. I’m about 93% sure that I’m not getting in.

For those who got admitted, how much is the commitment deposit?

@smileyface31 $300

@zettasyntax Yeah his restrictions update seems to be at a denial time. Mine was 2/3 before updating to 5/21. My STARS report updated on 5/22

@SCAstrojan @zettasyntax

I did submit my financial aid (CSS Profile/Tax Returns) 2 days before 4-24-2015.

Could that be it too?

@TonyStark93 Theoretically that shouldn’t since Financial Aid and admissions are different.

do you guys happen to know do I still have a chance to get in though I have not yet received anything until today?

@bhamster Definitely! It’s true that usc seems to save the biggest blast of rejections for last :frowning: but that doesn’t mean you still can’t be accepted this late in the game. Look how close the people today were to the final date :stuck_out_tongue:

@zettasyntax i’m so worried just because my roommate got her acceptance since 2 weeks ago :frowning:

Gonna assume if I don’t receive a letter by tomorrow, I’m rejected.
No point of holding onto false hope.
Marshall junior applicant with 3.77. No Oasis access
