@USCGirl17 You haven’t heard back either yet? Last year I got an SGR on May 24th or so. This year I’ve gotten nothing. I didn’t even see a rejection envelope in the mail today, so I’m assuming my YouSC portal is going to update at midnight with my decision. I have no idea if that’s how it works, but it seems people the past few days have had their portals update at midnight.
@sunita18 well, my portal updated, said they have everything, and that I would hear by June 1st (might have been a generic message but it got my hopes up). If I don’t hear in the next few days I’ll definitely give them a call, good idea! Did you call your admissions counselor or just the general admissions office?
@Shortstop3 mine says the same thing and honestly if I were you I would just call now and I called just the admissions office the number is (213)740-1111 the lady might give you a reliving answer like they did me (:
@zettasyntax Maybe saving the best for last? I emailed my counselor today and I’m hoping he responds. I have this crazy scenario in my head that I may have accidentally withdrawn my application even though I didn’t. Has this happened in previous years?
From the Facebook Page:
Transfer applicants: Thank you for your patience as we review your applications. A decision or request for more information will be mailed on June 1.
I guess they have until today to actually mail out the decision.
@sunita18 thanks so much for the help! What kind of information did they tell you!?
@USCGirl17 If I still don’t have a decision by June 3rd, I’ll go ahead and email my counselor. I don’t want to bug him in case I get a decision later on tonight. People accidentally withdrawing? I don’t know. I know some poster here withdrew because they just couldn’t wait on USC anymore (they do take forever with some) and they wound up being accepted with a date just before they withdrew
I don’t know any people from last year that withdrew their applications. This year has been pretty weird in some aspects. I even wonder if they forgot about me or something
@RAHforHEE you are totally right! The note on the portal makes it seem like we should be receiving a decision today. So if it mails today, I’m about 20 minutes from USC— I should expect something by Wednesday I guess?
@zettasyntax Haha I meant having to wait until the very last day. Nothing in the mail or portal so we’ll see how this day turns out
@Shortstop3 mainly that I will be hearing very shortly so I’m guessing in the next few days and I love like an hour away from USC. Super anxious right now haha what’s your major?
@sunita18 Ahhhh how exciting! I wish you the best of luck! I’m a business administration major, you?
@sunita18 when i called the lady was pretty general, she said i should hear in a couple of weeks , basically what the message on you.usc.edu says, and I asked her if a decision had been made in my account, and she said she couldn’t discuss any decisions by the phone, and the only thing she could tell me is that they have all the required documents to make a decision.
@Shortstop3 I am too but im a sophomore applicant
@jucery13 well I guess I just got lucky haha idk I’m just hoping I get accepted
@sunita18 Nice! So am I, I just finished my first year at a California CC
@Shortstop3 if I may ask what are your stats? We are pretty much in the same boat so far
@sunita18 Yeah, of course! I have a 4.0 through 33 units-- have English, calc 2, GE cat 1, and diversity done. I also took both econs and another IGETC course for UC’s in case USC doesn’t pan out! How about you?
Lol yah you are way more competitive than I am! I have like a 3.7 with 36 units and all but one category completed with Bs in both calc 1 and 2 and an A in the English requirement
does anyone know what GPA we have to maintain once accepted? I cannot find any info on this in the SIR?
@zettasyntax and @USCGirl17 I am still waiting as well. no sgr. 60 units, 7 in progress. 3.8 annenberg school. Maybe they are still thinking? We are probably on a border of getting in
