What’s going on this year?
It seems that a lot of people have been admitted around this time according to last year’s thread.
And it seems that just few rejections came out and even less acceptance
Isn’t the deadline June 1st? Even my English sucks, I knew that by June 1 means not later than June 1…
@sunita18 Did the lady say that your decision specifically would be coming out soon or SGR applicants in general?

Deadline for non sgr transfer is June 1. I think it means that they mailed the decision yesterday, and portal will take 1 or 2 days to update.

Does portal update 1 or two days later after their decision made on June 1? I’m just worrying that there are still no decision on me…
Hey guys so based on last year’s trends and this year’s trends, I think I’ve gotten admitted but not 100% sure. Yesterday my restrictions got changed at 3:05 p.m., sometime in the early morning I got an extra info needed letter from financial aid, and then my stars report got filled out sometime after! AHHHH
I just received a message on my portal about the transfer merit scholarship, seems like I got it. I was thinking I didn’t get it since I was admitted after they said that all students have been notified about transfer merit scholarships. It is dated June 2. Though my portal hasn’t updated to show my admission status.
I just called the admission office
I asked them whether there is a decision, and the lady was surprised that I didn’t heard anything from them and not SGRed, saying she would contact my counsellor who NEVER ANSWER MY EMAIL AND AWAY FROM HER DESK ON EVERY CALL to follow my case.
Oh does that mean they take 4 months to gimme just a straight rejection and NOW THEY EVEN FORGET TO REJECT ME?
@mustang012 congrats! When did you get admitted and did you get an SGR?
Can somebody clarify this for me? I was not SGR’d and still have not received a decision. I did get an email from financial aid about a missing document. I sent in my Spring grades May 18th because it was asked through an email stating missing application requirements. I do feel like I am qualified getting a 3.75 from a top 50 liberal arts school and my HS stuff was a bit lower but my scores are solid. Does anybody have any thoughts on what is going on?

@urihimi did you contact your counselor? Usually they’re pretty good with responding and giving hints of when you’ll hear back.
@poisonx Thanks. I received my package May 27th, but the letter was dated May 23rd. I did not receive a SGR.
@Mustang012 Where does you have a message about a transfer scholarship? Under “Admission Decision”?
@jrmiamih on the youSC portal under “check admissions status”. Down below should be a message board and it says “admissions communication”.
My YouSC homepage still says “thank you for applying!” etc. I have not received anything in my portal, and I live in the UAE so the mail will probably take a while to arrive if it was sent yesterday (June 1st). Anyone else have this problem? And congrats to all those who got accepted!
@urirahimi the missing document letter was in fact an SGR. i got one and was confused too. so i called the admissions office to confirm that it was an SGR.
@urirahimi If you received a request in the past week for a missing financial aid document, you are likely in. I think everyone who got that request has since been accepted.
I called the admissions office and they transferred me to my region’s admissions counsellor because they couldn’t find an admissions decision linked to my ID number, but the counsellor wasn’t available so I had to leave a message with my id/email/number. I hope she contacts me soon, I have an assignment due tomorrow and I can’t focus long enough to start it.
