Submitted my spring grades early June and still haven’t heard back. Hopeful, but growing very anxious!
I sent my unofficial grades over (thinking a decision would be made quicker -_-) and have a question. Will the next notification I should look for be of admission/spring admit/rejection? I’ve read others had their status change to some sort of generic in review or pending status when sending official transcripts.
I’m quickly running into deadlines for other institutions I’ve applied for. I would hate to be left with nowhere to go in the fall waiting for a rejection notification in mid July. On the flip side I would hate to not be patient, begin the process elsewhere only to find out I got in. UGHH.
PS. Yes, I’ve called and have confirmed they have received my transcript.
@BeigeCardigan When’s the last time you called? If it’s been at least two weeks, why not try calling them again? I doubt they’re as busy as they were in earlier months, so you should bother them 
Last year, it took me quite a long time. I sent my grades by June 15th and didn’t hear until July 15th that I was rejected. This year people seem to hear back from their SGRs way sooner than the month it took me. So again, if it’s been awhile, why not try calling them again? I honestly think that there are cases where they forget about students!
Anyway, I wish you luck. I was left with nowhere to go last year and it really sucked. And as for the whole spring admit thing, that seems so random as people that were admitted days/weeks after me also were able to get in for the fall semester and did students last year (some even in mid-July!), so you could still be a fall admit for all you know 
@zettasyntax Thanks for the reply and nice LOZ pic! I actually called a few days ago on I believe Friday, about a week before then and have emailed my admission counselor.
Really sorry to hear about your situation, it’s def something I wouldn’t wish on anyone! It’s also tricky because my other options are actually OOS and makes waiting that much more painful. Trying to stay positive and yeah, I gave up on the predicted trends on spring admits >.<.

I guess that’s a little too soon to try calling again, but maybe your call on Friday might have helped. My acceptance letter was dated the exact day after I had called! So I really think calling helps in most cases, but yeah, there are other times where it can just take long.
I had to submit my SIR to UCLA because USC didn’t notify me by June 1st this year - I’ve pretty much never seen a college that makes the wait as long/agonizing as USC does for some. And yes, try to keep hope. Maybe you’ll hear something this week if you called that recently
@BeigeCardigan what was the exact date you sent yours in? I’m in a similar situation. I sent them in June first and am still waiting. I called the front desk, but I am considering calling my admissions counselor tomorrow (jesse Reuter). I turned in my transcripts in person as well so I’m slightly nervous they were lost somehow. Also, do you mind sharing your spring grades and your major? I would like to see just how similar our situations are lol
2015 Fall accepted!! Major Psychology! I emailed my unofficial transcript to my counselor on June 17th, and the admission letter was dated June 18th. The portal is updated this morning and I got my yellow packet 2 hours later after I found the online letter. I am living aboard during the summer, so it took several days for packet to arrive.
@BeigeCardigan @jch718 What major did you apply for? I applied to Viterbi and am still waiting as well. I think some schools decide more quickly than others.

@weare1 I sent it in my grades on June 17th, and got accepted on June 18th. The international mail took 4 days to arrive.
@rosyme Hey! I applied for housing and paid the application fee on the 12th of June, but the enrollment deposit of 300 dollars was only charged from my card yesterday because they had trouble with it (International visas, always a problem). So I think I read somewhere that they only consider your application after you’ve paid the enrollment fee?
When did you apply for housing? Have you already paid the enrollment deposit?

@dhailey I just got off the phone with him not 5 minutes ago and he told me that I “should be expecting a decision soon”. I don’t know if that means they’ve already sent out my decision and it hasn’t reached me yet, or he’ll scramble to read through my app today haha.
Do you remember the exact date you turned yours in? And if you don’t mind, how many units did you take/ what was your spring gpa?

Hi there. So I attended Cal poly slo last year as a freshman and applied for USC as a sophomore because USC has always been a dream of mind and my father and sister both went there. I got a rejection letter in the beginning of June and plan to appeal. I applied for Political Science and have had an extreme improvement in grades my winter and spring quarter. I was wondering if anyone else was appealing or knew anyone that did and what their result was. Also if anyone else applied for Dornsife and got in, would you mind telling me your college gpa? @jch718 I believe it was the 5th. I’ve grown so tired that I just sent in my official transcripts via rush shipping yesterday. I took 5 classes this semester while working full-time so hopefully that is given consideration. Received Three A’s and Two B’s so I’m extremely nervous those B’s are going to be frowned upon. I’ve had a very rough year, personally, and hope SC will let all the struggle pay off!

Hey guys I got some random email mentioning financial aid last night and some random message on my portal that states “ability to benefit verification required” this morning. Does anyone know what that means?
