Official USC Class of 2011 Decisions Thread

I would definitly appeal if I were you. Your scores and grades are very good, and you were a four year athlete. It doesn’t make any sense to me.

you should appeal…yours makes no sense

“founder of aids relief in africa” by UCplaya05

Wow thats a hook.

haha yeah i think i will but im planning on going to UT right now, and if they overturn my decision maybe ill do SC but def am not getting my hopes up or anything

yall help me write an appeal letter i dunno what to say, “*** why didnt u let me me in *****es?” HAHA jk but really what do i say

WTF and bitch_eS were those words right there lmao

its a club i founded at my school, fire

still the proud president, we raised more than 2000 dollars for aids relief

haha ucplaya. You shouldve written about it in the application. sounds impressive. I just like how it sounds like you started the whole aids relief IN africa.

well basically i started a club to help raise money for relief from students and companies in my community. I didnt only wanna send money to 1 country in africa so i distributed the money to organizations like the red cross in countries all over africa but those who were more in dire need got more of our raisings. i helped pull in 2000 dollars from individuals and companies donated a lot more.

i dont wanna ever stop…EVEN AT PEPPERDINE!!

Melmel. Write a letter now, and then look at it in like 3 days.

i’m a realllly levelheaded person so im not like hysterical or even cried at all, heres a draft i have no idea what to say:

Dear USC Admissions Board,

I was very disappointed at being rejected from the USC class of 2011. USC was and is my dream school, and a seemingly perfect match for my credentials. Since submitting my application in mid-November, I learned of my status as a National Merit Finalist, an honor normally rewarded with a half tuition scholarship. I was also in the process of being considered for a North Texas Alumni Club scholarship upon learning of my deferral. My senior mid-year grades were high, even taking three AP classes. The fact that I am qualified for two USC merit scholarships explains why I am so surprised at your decision, and it is for these reasons that I ask you to reconsider my application.

                    Fight on always,

                    Melanie K****

input welcome, more than welcome, WANTED

Rejected.
i’m not posting my stats, i’m too lazy.
i haven’t heard from nyu yet… but i probably will just end up going to chapman, maybe i can transfer i dunno… i hate chapman

yea its sound good mel. at the end, u seem really ****ed but that might be what is needed for u to stand out. sounds good. good luck melbaby

You need more stuff in there. Specific things please. You may choose to not show it here though where everyone can see. A few awkward phrases/comma mistakes too.

^yea^. make it a lil longer

okay examples should i reiterate stuff from before, like softball etc

i dont wanna seem ****ed but ur right, a kissass letter will prob be thrown in the heap with the other 520 that dont get ovrturned

ucplaya have u visited pepperdine? i did and its weakk

^ r u serious^ everyone loves it there. im goin on wed. but thanks for runing my day. :-(

y was it weak?

awww no its beautiful…its just like a bubble and very goody good no party…i have 2 friends that love it there its just not for anyone who likes to party and i took you as a partier lol

and boston u is badass i almost applied there but didnt for some dumbbb reason

Examples:
Specific PSAT score
Reason why you were chosen beyond JUST National merit semi-finalist
4 years of softball–a big commitment and why it makes you a different candidate from what they first saw you as

This is all I know about you. Perhaps you should look over the application you completed in December and find your faults or areas that you didnt fully develop.
