lol its true that is not a party school. in fact, its a dry school.

but u can always party on the beach and

the beach = fine girls in bikinis!

so ill be iight

NYU… here I come :(

I had my heart set on Cali too!!!

I just can’t get away from this cold!!!

****ing east coast

wow, sorry guys
I’ve been following this thread because my daughter’s decision came in late too

and you all seemed so sincere about USC…

but I’m sure there are schools out there for you that will be just as good, and maybe not so expensive

hope you all find your dreams

me too…a truly sad night on the one hand…but in the long run life is full of surprises…this may turn out to be a wonderful new chapter for all of us…life is not a destination…it’s a journey…good luck everyone!

i forgot my dad’s good friend enos cabell who played for/coaches the houston astros is tight with mike garrett, the SC athletic director and heismann award winner, so once i send in my appeal stuff this week he’s gonna call or write a letter for me…think that will help?

^sounds good. that will make u look important^

good luck to u melbaby

omg that is so baller. Go 'stros!

i think it was your class rank that did it melbaby, since you’re outside of the top 20 percent.

only by 2%…its a VERY competitive school, my ad rep should know that. to make top 10, you pretty much need straight a’s in all honors, and our honors are hardd. they really only ook at top 10, 25, 50, and 75 though i think

but your right, my rep may not have seen that clements is very tough

RAnk wont get you out of a school. My school doesnt even rank.

thats right…if u want top provide input on my letter ask and ill PM the new draft to you…firewolf im sendin u one already

Clements IS ranked as the 6th best HS in houston…

yeah and was beat by 3 magnate schools so its more like 3rd or 4th

Well, I go to a school in Texas where the senior class is about 1300 people (I think we’re like the 1st or 2nd largest graduating class in the nation – the other one is somewhere around my school too.) 25% of those people are Asian and all of them are hardworking overachievers with amazing SAT scores and high GPAs. I would say that the top quarter of the class is enrolled in multiple AP and honors courses.

I’ve taken 11 APs, including the ones I’m taking now and I’ve done well on all 5 of those that I’ve taken. Still, I’m only about 15% and I get A’s and B’s (and minute amount of C’s). I’ve managed to get a 2100 on my SAT and manage on the SATIIs. The only thing that separates me from them is my parents’ low income and my first generation college student status.

Only a couple of people from my school have heard from USC (the NMFs, top ~3/4%) and I’m probably going to be rejected. I’ve wanted to go to USC because of the great Trojan family and the great academics/college life there…and it seems to me that if they were only going to look solely at my GPA then they wouldn’t be getting to know the real me.

:( try going to top 21st public school in the nation… in so cal :(

my god we got 12 people accepted to stanford!!

try going to a high school with an acceptance rate the same as USC…ivy leaguers everywhere!

try going to a suburban school in pennsylvania… with 1 asian friend :(

:( :(

we all suck.

anyways, i tried messaging you back stressed but your inbox is full.

i haven’t heard back yet but i live in so cal so it’s a tad strange. oh well, i’m going to get rejected a little later i guess.

i posted to say i added stuff to my letter and if any1 wants to provide input let me know and ill pm it to u
