*******OFFICIAL USC Class of 2019 Results/Discussion Thread**********

@Jford17‌ Indeed, it is. 17.5% admission rate. Meaning statistically, 82.5% (or the majority) is rejected. I know I shouldn’t keep my hopes up, but I still keep hoping for a yellow packet.

Been accepted to DU, UCSB and UCSD.
Rejected from UIUC and UCLA!

@CollegeIsAMaybe the 5 above, Berkeley, USC, UMich & UW Madison. And yeah, I was quite active haha, the USC wait is getting me mad now. Being an international student I’ll have to wait for the letter to arrive as well

@uclabound1 Hey, I know you got into MIT. Awesome. How’d you fare with the bRuins?

Accepted to Dartmouth, Chapman, Occidental, UTK, and Sewanee, waitlisted at Vandy, rejected at Stanford, waiting on USC and Columbia! If I don’t get in, it will be between Dartmouth and Chapman most likely.

@katcon‌ What’s drawing you to chapman that it’s on consideration alongside an ivy like Dartmouth?

@collegeisamaybe im in texas too but most of the kids here stay instate or go up to two states over. When i told people i was applying toUSC they would say “oh you want to go to south Carolina?”

I honestly don’t know of anyone who is applying there. The AP kids are going to TAMU or UT. Athletes are going to KState or Uarkansas or Colorado boulder and the rest are instate 3rd tiers or directional schools.

when will students who applied to Iovine academy be notified?

@newsie2015 Yeah i’m in texas too and people say the same thing lol. I refuse to be like everyone else and go to TAMU

For anyone who get’s their decision in the mail today, please please tell us asap and your location!! Thank you !

Accepted UCI, deferred from Harvard EA and rejected from UCLA. I’ll probably end up at UCI if I don’t get into USC (which, seeing my UCLA decision, I’ll most likely get rejected) but I hate thinking about the idea of it. Regardless, good luck everyone!

Also I live in Southern California but I’m on break right now away from home so I see my decision via portal or Thursday. Kind of happy about that so I don’t have to go through the process of opening the mailbox and seeing a tiny USC envelope and automatically knowing the decision.

I think the worst part about being in Texas during this time is that most of everyone has already been accepted to their school because we have auto admission. So when I tell them I’m still waiting to hear they are so shocked.

Them-“What! How could you not know already where you are going? That’s crazy! Blah Blah Blah. I could never wait that long!” :open_mouth:

Me-" Most kids in the country don’t know where they are going." :expressionless:

3/4 of my friends know where they’re going and are putting their names and schools on the graduation board… I’m getting antsy.

Hey guys! Accepted to UCSD, UCLA and BU so far waitlisted at UChicago. Pretty nervous about USC UCB still. Does a ucla acceptance mean a usc or ucb one is likely, especially considering the very similar applicant pool rate?.

As a parent of two recent USC grads and one hopefully being accepted in the next 24-48 hours, USC is so worth the wait and anxiety! There is no place like it!

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-southern-california/1756149-world-bachelor-in-business-notification.html#latest did anyone see this?

That World Bachelor in Business program is something they have to specifically apply for correct? My D applied to Marshall but not for that program.

waiting to hear on my son’s admission like everyone else… out of the blue last night he tells me this is his absolute #1 choice school. I don’t have his login info and he is in class right now. Assuming he gets in, I need to schedule a visit and it seems you can only view the admitted student visit dates through the youSC portal? Can someone please tell me what those dates are so I can start working on fitting it in between the 4 other college visits we have in April? Thank you!

Did anyone else’s “information about the scholarship process” move from current message to message history on their portal?

@Newsie2015‌ Yup!
