Choirmomo9 - I don’t think the postcards indicate much, it just said nice to talk to you. Anyone know how we will get informed of decisions and when?
Thanks, @learn2019. How wonderful that both your S and D got chosen to interview for Trustee! I read somewhere that last year results were posted on YouSC on Saturday, March 22, which may suggest this coming Saturday. But who knows?
Did anyone see this in their youSC?
It says
“Respond to a communication from USC - something like you will need your 10 digit id”
then it took you to a page to update information on address and etc.
then it gave you this
"Thank you for your interest in USC – our records show that your response has already been posted.
You can expect to receive important communications from us regarding academics, student life, financial aid and admission.
If you would like more information, please click here."
what do you guys think this meant?
Hummm? I’ll check ours now. Thanks Choirmom09 – it is like living a dream! They both work Tremenously hard for years and years… so happy and proud of them. We’ll see what USC says. This is nerve racking!
Mine do not say that. Not sure what it means.
I didn’t get the message either! No idea what it means tho…
@cpcali where would it say that?
once you log into youSC portal everything is gone and just shows three tabs
- respond to a communication from USC
- join our mailing list
- signup for campus tour
everything else is gone no status no withdraw nothing. I’m guessing my kid is not accepted to our dream school
Sounds like a glitch… I would call admissions and ask about it.
@CPCali Since its almost time for decisions, I think it’s just a glitch as some weird things happened on the website before the scholarship decisions during late January as so many people are probably checking their portals a lot right now. I wouldn’t read into it but definitely try calling them and refresh the page by logging out a few times.
@CPCali my portal says the same thing… do you think its a rejection… ? its my dream school too.
mine looks like it always has, didn’t change like yours, odd…
should we call admissions ?
@Trojan2019 I think that would put all of our worried little minds at rest haha, at least we will know what it means.
I don’t think its enough to assume rejection or acceptance though, so I don’t think any of us should think too much into it yet…
@mellyjune did your portal changed too ?
@Trojan2019 no it didn’t, but when people were waiting for decisions for the scholarships back in January, applicants were presented with a blank page with just the words ‘Welcome’ written across the top but that wasn’t indicative of anything… So that’s why I feel like its too early/not enough to make any sort of judgment on what it means… UGH THIS IS SO NERVE-RACKING…
Here’s a way to see when the decision letters will reach you. Just type in “90089” for the zip code.
@thepineapplekid Thanks, that’s pretty cool!
Just received a reply tweet from USCAdmissions: Notification dates for USC merit scholarships are listed on our website here - http://ow.ly/Kvsg8. I got so excited that they were releasing specific dates. Nope, redirected to the pdf of all scholarships with the general “by April 1” info. I really do need to get away from this computer ![]()
