*******OFFICIAL USC Class of 2019 Results/Discussion Thread**********

@Platinumxx2‌ that’s exactly how i feel! i have such a connection to USC that I couldn’t imagine getting denied (despite the reality of the low odds).

the only way for the time to go by faster is to not think about it, but it’s impossible!

@jjknowles‌ @collegeporfavor‌ They are mailed the 24th http://www.usc.edu/admission/undergraduate/

I hate to even think about it, but what do rejection letters look like? just a sad, thin envelope?

@Milyd1 so if we haven’t receive the letter yet, then we are rejected since decisions are on Friday and it would take a couple of days to mail.

I can’t wait any longer, I wanna know! Praying for fall or spring admission [-O<

Also that emoticon perfectly describes my life rn

Wait - are rejection letters being mailed out too? If so, are they being mailed via priority on the same day as acceptances?

@Platinumxx2‌ They are not priority, but are mailed the same day

@mattyboy88‌ so then acceptances should come before rejections?

@Platinumxx2‌ Supposedly, yes, depending on where you are https://www.usps.com/priority-mail/map/

Norcal only 26th?

@awesomekid‌ probably… the 24th to the 26th will most definitely feel like a lifetime (this waiting game is already bad enough).

I’m having flashbacks to waiting desperately in January… Only now if its bad news it’s definite unlike January I was like “at least I have March to wait for…” Anxiety and panic is setting in but trying to keep a level head… This is it everyone! Good luck everyone from an earnest heart!!! Praying we get great admittances! Notice word choice, admittance not decision haha gotta keep positive!!!

@bioninja It should have come by snail-mail. As a trustee candidate, it arrived at my house while I was still at USC for the first Explore session (Feb. 23/24) :slight_smile:

@collegeswag1997‌ If by Friday of next week you still haven’t received your letter, you’ll have to look it up online(unless you don’t mind waiting a little bit more :wink: ).

@Milyd1 so if I don’t receive it by Friday then I am rejected right?

@collegeswag1997 stay positive!

What other schools besides the ivies are everyone else waiting on?

@collegeswag1997‌ Not necessarily. The letter may take more days to reach you.

Good luck to you all! For those who don’t get in. Please don’t despair. It is MUCH easier to get into USC as a transfer student. Don’t give up on your dreams. For the SCA applicants, I realize it is nearly impossible to get into SCA. Don’t take it personally if you don’t get in. You can always try again. (Layra was rejected last year and this year she is a trustee candidate!) Also, if you’re admitted to USC but not the SCA, you can always enroll as an undeclared and apply to the SCA again, (I understand it is much easier to get into the Critical Studies program.) My son’s dream was to get into Film and TV. He got into USC, but not into the SCA. I was devastated for him, Despite getting into NYU’s film school (and LMU and Northwestern) he loved USC so much that he went to USC anyway, His original plan was to reapply to the SCA. Instead, he discovered the BCA (Business and Cinematic Arts, which is a joint program between Marshall and the SCA.) He loved it! Getting rejected from the SCA was one of the best things that ever happened to him. Now he has the best of both worlds – he is working the business side of film and TV. Hang in there and Fight On!

SCHOLARSHIP DECISIONS ARE ONLINE!!!
