*******OFFICIAL USC Class of 2019 Results/Discussion Thread**********

@kkc2015 that’s so weird… My college counselor always asks us to tell them our decisions so they can update naviance and says they wont know unless we tell them… Are you sure its reliable…? I wouldnt give up just yet… :frowning:

I was accepted to two schools and results say ‘unknown’. Was denied to two schools including USC and both of those say ‘denied’.

@mellyjune same here

That’s a bit odd but it sounds like it may be legit…I’m not familiar with Naviance though.

Right… but it’s so unfair that they don’t let people find out in time through the school directly and just upload it onto Naviance… the purpose of Naviance isnt to let people know if they were accepted or not before the school lets you know themselves… Grrr [-(

Mine says unknown… Take it that’s a good sign?

@kkc2015‌ maybe its one of those tech issues… i doubt universities would notify through naviance… i mean… thats just cruel.

@couplemoreweeks sorry to disappoint but I don’t think it means anything… Most schools who use naviance don’t use it to notify people of admission or rejection… they usually don’t/can’t update until you tell them yourself… All the schools that I didn’t update my counselor on still says unknown regardless of whether I was accepted or not…

@mellyjune‌

Never said that I’m accepted, just saying that it’s better than having a denied next to it which would be very confusing and stressful. In this whole admissions process just looking for (not bad) signs is keeping a lot of people floating

(Deleted)

@couplemoreweeks I wasnt saying that, I was just saying that unknown is what everyone’s naviance should look like because decisions havent been released yet, I wasnt putting your hopes down, I’m all for looking for signs, I do it too (too much haha) I was just saying that any change on a non-USC site really isnt reliable to built hopes off of right now
Best of luck in this stressful time! Hope we both get admitted!!! :-bd

Oh my goodness, I’m so nervous XD I’m just praying for the big fat yellow envelope. So many kids in my school applied to USC and I think they all have better stats than me (and most of them are rich = don’t have to apply for financial aid so that also increases their chance of getting in lmao). March is such a train wreck month haha

Couldn’t agree more. Literally before it was all okay because I had months before I would hear back from my number 1. Now it is literally going to be the longest 4 days of my life. Not to mention my mail lady has an awful track record of not coming till the very end of the day lmao. But, if I do get into USC, I really need a roomate! So, I would love to meet some great people on here if all goes well for everyone FIGHT ON GUYS! :-*

@Platinumxx2‌ The second page in your general admission packet has your school & major listed on it, so you will find out before the SCA packet.
Also, 50 are accepted for Production & 75 for Critical Studies, but Critical Studies incoming class is only about 30-40 people.

I’m making a list of things to do if I get accepted and things to do if I do not get accepted.
I can come up with so many for the former, but I barely have one for the latter… lol what am i gonna do

@LayraSparks‌ Thank you for the response!
I am a bit confused though - so are we all essentially under consideration for the 30-40 Crit Studies spots or for the 70 spots? (I am a freshman applicant out of high school)
Also the same with production - am I essentially competing for one of those 50 spots?

What is naviance?

@Bizziee if rejected you should buy yourself some Nutella (or your favorite snack) and binge watch Netflix all night even if it is a a school night

or you could play a video game like COD or GTA and take your anger/frustration out there.

Knowing me, I will probably do both.

@Newsie2015‌ It’s a program that a lot of high schools schools have that allows you to view informations about colleges + their relationship with your school (i.e. scattergram with acceptances and denies based on gpa and act/sat, lowest accepted gpa from your school, average deferred, etc).

So can we all agree that your you.usc page should have only these
