<p>don’t give up the ship. In reading the CC comments of those accepted at NU, it looks like many will choose to go elsewhere. It ain’t over till it’s over. Since it’s your #1 pick, I sincerely hope things shift and that you will get in.</p>
<p>Don’t give up. I was accepted at NU , but am going to Boston College (so one more space for you!) , but I heard from some friends who were on the waitlist that this year they will be admitting from the waitlist. If it is you #1 choice, write, call or whatever you can to get off the list.</p>

<p>In my first dorm this year (moved), my roommate and the two guys who lived next door were all freshman from the waitlist.</p>
<p>Call and get names…personalizing is always better at this point in the game…follow-up with fedex letter to who you spoke to with a cc: to dean of admissions.</p>
