I’ve written the essays, but the recs and transcript remain to be procured. I need to get on this…the deadline is quickly approaching!

I have to write my last essay and then send the application in, but it still feels like I have so much to do.

By the way, I checked on Collegeboard and it says I have sent a full score report to Yale and some other colleges. I did that for free fo four colleges when I took my last SAT. But does that mean ALL of my scores have been sent (that’s what it listed as being sent, all my SATIIs and SATs, but I can’t trust it), or just that one SAT I took? Even if they all were sent, should I send them again just in case, because this was a while ago?

theoneo: Hope you get in.
I’m rooting for you!

YES! After a brutal long weekend, all that remains is editing, and pestering my teachers… Its a good feeling

Old Campus - lol thanks…

potus2- long weekend as in you had today off? It’s soo annoying. All these college frosh came back today cause they had off but we had to go to school. Argh.

Oh no! Haha, we New Englanders love our national holidays!

Chris,

I think if you write down the codes in that one box thing on the SAT, it submits every SAT I and II you have taken up to that point. It doesn’t just submit the test(s) you are taking on that day, but is cumulative.

I’m also done with everything except for the essays…it’s intense right now

Hi. This is my first post here. My name’s Alan. I’m applying Yale SCEA.

Statsy stuff, if you care to read it: 2380, 5x legacy, many quality ECs, 5s on four APs, 800/800/790 on SAT IIs, kind of low grades on a very hard courseload. Two hooks: First, I’ve composed music since I was 12, and I’ve won an award for it and stuff. Second, I did gene inactivation work in mice at NIH.

I’m writing my essays now, and putting together what should be a decent application. But we all need a bit of luck in addition to putting together a good application. Here’s to hoping for good luck for all of you.

Good to know I’m so blatantly underqualified compared to you guys!!!;)

BTW, I haven’t submitted any test scores to Yale yet but I’m about to submit my ACT score to Yale today. Do you guys have any idea how long it takes for colleges to receive your ACT scores once you send them and would Yale have to receive my ACT score by the Nov. 1st deadline for me to be considered for SCEA? You see I’m not sure there’s a “Rush Scores” option for Yale and I’m kind of freaking out at this moment with only 2-3 weeks left till the application submission deadline. All comments will be greatly appreciated!!!:)

I requested my ACT score be sent to MIT on September 26th and they still haven’t arrived, or they just haven’t been processed. Either way, all I know is that my SAT scores were processed on October 11th, and I requested them on the same day.

Your scores can come a little bit late - the first couple weeks after the deadline are primarily filing papers and getting organized anyway.

i just submitted my application. thank goodness that’s over!

Well, as of last Friday I’m applying early to Yale… though I’m not done with my essays yet. Shhh, I haven’t publicized the fact anywhere else yet!

I’m not going to post my stats and contribute to the obsessive comparisons going on–they’re skewed by CC’s weird cross-section anyways–but they’re all on my website if anyone must know.

whatever evil asian doctor,

last time I checked, your stats are just as sick-nasty as everyone else’s…no worries! :)

has anyone else submitted their app (besides elsewhen…congrats, by the way!)

I just can’t bring myself to finish the essays…they’re basically killing me right now

A friend of mine already submitted her app.

Ok so I wrote this rushed draft of an essay at like 1 AM one night in August and my friend (who’s a talented writer and an avid reader) “really” liked it. So I might be closer to finishing that than I thought! But I still have a lot of work to do for the other one. And my activity paragraph is only halfway there.

How “serious” is everyone making their activites essay? Mine’s a bit lighthearted, and I’m kind of worried. Is it supposed to be a description of your activity, or more of why you love that activity?

All my essays ae going to be creative since it seems that the rest of my application makes me seem kind of uptight lol.

Um ask me about my essays in 15 days. Until then I won’t have an answer.
