Official Yale 2011 Scea Thread

filmxoxo17, could you say what your basic stats were? or better yet, did you think you would get in, and did people on here think you would (if you asked for chances)?

I think student interviews count more than the alumni interviews - Yale can’t really control the quality of the alum interviews, but the student interviews are conducted in their own office.

wow you are very right and im very sorry. we are the class of 2011 and i knew that. i was just looking at info from the class of 2010 while writing this and…well…i punched the 0 instead of the 1. Thanks anways

TO THE YALE SCEA CLASS OF 2011!

chris07, I’ve got a Yale interview scheduled for the day after tomorrow! I’m a bit scared, but both you and my friend who also had one said that it was a really fun experience. I’m only worried because Yale is my definite first choice, but this is my first interview, which could be crappy! Aaah!

Anywho, i’m a public schoolie from a relatively large “city” in New Hampshire. I put that in quotations because any real city could eat mine for breakfast and still be hungry.

*to the Yale class of 2011 applicant pool!

heh lunarchik i have mine scheduled on thurssday too. what time?

So how many of you have started on applications? I’m very glad Yale uses the common app and only has a short supplement. Have you done anything substantive yet? I still need to write essays.

i wrote the common app essay not the yale supplement essay =/ did the common app completely too, just waiting til i touch up my essay a couplpe more times b4 i send it in online

hey stupak, my interview is at 11 am

hah my interview is at 1, yours is before their lunch, mine is after =/

I’m applying SCEA. ::holds breath::

White female from suburban Kansas City, KS. Potential double major in English and Spanish.

Yale SCEA baby!

Asian female, Seattle-ish Washington… I’ve seen a couple Seattle people already in this thread…

I’m mostly done with the common app stuff; I have a few drafts of random essays, but I haven’t picked one to further edit and revise to submit; I’m almost done with my resume.

But right now I’m focusing on prepping for senior year and visiting colleges since I won’t be able to do so after about 3 weeks.

Oh, I forgot to add that I have both of my essays written (one needs to be trimmed down about… 100 words, but the other is ready to go), but I haven’t actually started filling in the application.

Whooo, go us.

wow my interview was… good. lol i thought it went rather smoothly, which surprised me.

Yale SCEA here as well!!!:)

Umm I’m an upper middle-class Asian(go figure) male from a competitive public in Michigan folks. Glad to keep you guys company for the next few months.:p
