your stats and your addiction to cc are ****ing crazy

theoneo, out of curiosity, are you sending in just your ACT score(which you scored better on) or your SAT/SAT II scores as well??

Both. I know my ACT is better but I don’t want my SAT IIs to go to waste.

theoneo, are you indian because I see that you have Devdas, Lagaan, and Kaho Na Pyaar Hai on your list of favorite movies. I’m not indian but I live Hindi movies. Especially Lagaan, Dil Chahta Hai, Parineeta, Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, Rang De Basanti, Lakshya, Kal Ho Na Ho, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, oh goodness, I need to stop, I could go on forever. This was kind of pointless.

Haha, yeah I am. Hm I should’ve added Dil Chahta Hai to the list. I don’t watch many, though, cause I need subtitles to understand what’s going on and it makes it really annoying to watch.

Btw, EAD, you forgot to add a spot for ACT scores in the template. We’ll need to remember that for the results thread in mid-December. :)

oops sorry bout the format

Hi everyone! I’m Michael, and I attend the North Carolina School of Science and Math (a public residential school). I’ll do the info thing later, but I would like to wish everyone good luck on the application process!

okay, raise your hand if you haven’t even STARTED on your college essays yet!!

raises hand

Cool!
Aren’t you guys really excited? We find out our decisions in 3 1/2 months. Wow!

mallomarcookie don’t count down.

I don’t plan on it. Actually, yall can shoot me for this but I’m takin a good second look at Princeton ED.

Princeton’s a very good school to apply ED to since it has an excellent Financial Aid program so even finances isn’t really an issue unless you’re impoverished. From a practical standpoint, it would probably be better for you to apply Princeton ED MallomarCookie if you have any inkling that you would rather attend Princeton than Yale, since you’ll have a much better shot at admission.

The problem is, Princeton ED is binding. I’m really interested in both Yale and Princeton, and I’m also very interested in a merit scholarship at another great school.
I changed my mind to Princeton just 1 month after deciding I was dead-set on Yale EA–so considering that…any binding application would be bad idea for me. I need room to change my mind, and I need to be able to consider that merit scholarship. ED programs suck!

Oh yay!!! 3.5 months. Awesome.

ED programs do suck. Are more universities moving towards EA or SCEA programs now?

Umm don’t count down until decisions until you’re done with you’re app. And don’t tell us you’re done with your app until we’re done with ours. :p

Less than 2 months until apps are due!

therealmj - I think more schools are moving to ED (or, well, already have ED) because it helps with yield more than EA/SCEA.
