Official Yale 2011 Scea Thread

crap seeings the number 3 in 3 days 20 hours gives me the chills.

I wish I could make myself BELIEVE that I’m rejected, that way it’d be easy. But I keep just thinking maybe, just maybe, I might get deferred. Ah it’s so hard. This waiting is torture. I want it NOW.

I hate this. I wrote an essay for Stanford in <1 hour yesterday, and it’s better than either essay I wrote for Yale. And my activity essay has been totally redone for all my other Common App schools.

Well, there’s always Harvard… =P

yeah, i made a totally terrible typo on my common app essay (has been corrected for other schools, but it was sent to yale like that) and it’s been haunting me ever since i figured it out…

On the otherhand, while everyone is stressed for results, Yale and all the other colleges are stressed to make their financials. They too must meet certain numbers. That is why I think this process of picking students is not so easy. Admin hopes that those they pick will accually come. I think colleges take a big chance with EA as opposed to ED. By the way, those who apply to Stanford or MIT and get accepted and also get accepted to Yale statistically go there instead.

3 days 8 hours…give or take a few hours. this week is going by SO slowly.

i have to say that i am dying to find out… i just cant wait until friday… and so many of my friends finding out from other places is so not making it easier…i had a friend get rejected from her top choice school and it is so hard to be supportive when i know that the same thing could hapen to me in three days…it kinda puts a sinking feeling in my stomach

it’s only tuesday morning.
i think time has come to a standstill.
how is this possible, you guys??

I could’ve sworn there were still 4 days left. Yesterday went by really fast (thank god).

Today, tomorrow, Wednesday are finals for me.

Ow.

lucky! You get to have finals before Christmas break? Our finals aren’t until the second and third week of January, so we have to stress out over Christmas trying to study.

Monday and Tuesday went by slowly for me, but now that it’s already Wednesday afternoon, Friday is going to come really fast. Especially because of that Stanford deadline: deadlines always come too fast.
So, wow, 2 days and 2 hours. Closing in on ONE DAY

re Brune: We have trimesters, and our break starts on the 14th. The academic stress is getting together with the college stress and they’re having a great big party.

well the servers have ben down, so it has been slow.

Yeah, I haven’t been able to get on in two days.

Haha oh please theoneo, you posted last night! But yeah, it’s been slow. Annoying, but hey…1 day and some hours. I can’t wait!

less than 48 hours remain.
dun dun dun.

Really? Haha. Whoa, you’re right! It seems like it’s been longer, though, cause I couldn’t get on yesterday afternoon, last night, or today until an hour ago.

Anyway, I’m more excited for everyone who finds out tomorrow for some reason. Cornell, Duke, and Penn, right?

Oh hey! Don’t forget there’s the slim chance we might know tomorrow as well. I agree that it definitely seems longer with the website being down. I’ve grown far more addicted to CC than I ever thought possible…

I’m trying to submit three apps tomorrow. I hope decisions don’t come up. Or I’ll be really distracted.
