Official Yale Class of 2014 SCEA Results Thread

^Aren’t we all getting e-mail decisions first anyway?

Yes. 10 char

^ I think it depends on the school, right?

I know Harvard emails you the actual decision, whereas for Yale, etc, you have to login to their status site.

do you think they’ll all be in the same hour? that would SUCK

These threads are scaring me.

^^^ Oh yeah, that’s right.
@Stupefy: I think most of the Ivies release decisions at about five. Good thing or bad thing? DX

@ darkblademaster: yes I’m definitely going to yale. I dropped the application process completely after I got in. I originally applied to yale SCEA instead of stanford only because it had less essays to write. However, during the 90 day wait I fell in love with the school.

^ Awwwwww  and congrats!!!

[/ul]General Comments: Congrats to Class of '14! Can’t wait to meet you!

you white people with lower SAT scores got in! :D

Pigsatsea: Unhooked white applicants are not a favored class in admissions.

You may want to reconsider your persistent cries of discrimination against Asian students in light of your own experience. You are a female who received a likely letter from Columbia SEAS. Qualified women in engineering – much like qualified URMs – are part of an underrepresented group of students that colleges are particularly eager to recruit. I don’t hear you lamenting the admissions boost you got.

what likely letter?

^^Excuse me?

You have posted repeatedly that you received a likely letter from Columbia.

Hey guys - I was defered to Yale EA , International Applicant from India & my sister went there too - I had a pretty good midyear report with straight A’s (I had 2 B’s earlier) and also won an award at Harvard Model UN in late January and my school won Best International Del so yeah! I also visited campus in early FEB after HMUN but theres a downside to all this : I gave my Physics SAT in Jan a few days after my exams and completely messed up - got a 740!! but YALE doesnt accept score choice - sort of worried that this would put me at a disadvantage cuz its not a very good score ( I had a 770 in SAT 2 Chem & 780 in Sat 2 MATH 2 earlier which Yale already has) - Let me know what you guys think - cuz i have to send the score anyway. Would love to get your take on my chances after a poor SAT Performance but decent MIDYEAR Developments on the Whole! Thanks!

I’m so so sorry if this is late! This website just came up in a Google search and I’ve become addicted already! Haha.

rush: I hope this isn’t rude but if your family income is 50-100K, how can you not apply for FinAid?

If you’ve got significant non-retirement investments or rental real estate, you’re finaid toast, regardless of your annual income.

i feel like this should be stickied…

anyone agree?
