Oh my God! OH MY GOD!!!!!

Yale is SO COOL! I just went there for an interview and an overnight stay and it was so absolutely amazing! The people are amazing and ridiculously intelligent but not at all pretentious, and they all have such great senses of humor and it was incredible! The classes are great and one of them was taught by this really famous diplomat and in one of the other ones there was an hour long discussion about how phlegm is used as a motif in “The God of Small Things.” And I met with some profs and they were really nice and my interview went SO FREAKING WELL! It literally couldn’t have gone any better if I were interviewing myself! Oh my God!

So, yeah. Yale rocks.

And I bought a t-shirt.

yay!
10 characters.

arundhati roy’s books usually carry such interesting motifs…intersting book by the way

It gets pretty cold in New Haven though, but I like the fact that there are many restaurants around to choose from.

Ethiopian…yum!

however, lets not get carried away here. cause then IF you get rejected, it hurts more

Eh, gimme a couple hours of bliss.

OMG ur so lucky…id give anything to visit!!
it’s good to hear that it was everything u thought it would be!

how long did your interview last?

About 40 minutes…a really fabulous 40 minutes. :)

I really like that Meditteranean (sp?) (specifically Syrian) place and that Irish Pub…

i’m nervous about my interview. i have a feeling i’m randomly going to start cursing my interviewer out, or something. and I hope I don’t get asked a really hard question, like WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ABOUT THE ECONOMIC SITUATION IN POST WORLD WAR II ARGENTINA. plus, I’m not too sociable. This is gonna suck. hey guys, wanna read my essay? :)

sure ill read it…did u already send it in?
I sent mine in but u guys can read it if u want im still obsessing over it even if its already gonneee

Don’t worry, I was really freaked about the interview, but it was completely low-key. The only question I was asked was “So tell me a little bit about yourself” and that’s not even really a question. The rest of the conversation progressed naturally from there. And it specifically says on the Yale website the Yale interviews are not to ask any questions that: have right or wrong answers, test a student’s knowledge of any subject, or could any way be regarded as a litmus test. So yeah, it’ll go fine.

Gorbachev - Did you enjoy your tour?

I had a great time, in general, at the campus, but I felt like the tours were really…average. I bet it might have just been my very tired guide. Either way, I’m glad you had a good time.

lol i’m studying the god of small things at the moment at school…didn’t know phlegm was a motif lol mental note for exam in 2 weeks

did they say what this motif was used to show?;)

damn…i really want to go to yale now!!:)

OMG I LOVE THE TOURS! I went for one in middle school (for my sister when she was a junior) and again the weekend before the PSAT (lol!). I think it’s so funny! Yale has such an awesome history.

<333333333333333333333 Yale.

Yeah, I already realize that if I don’t get I’m going to fall down and die. But hey, I’m an optimist. Even if it comes at the expense of my happiness for the rest of my life.

Haha, well, I guess phelgm is supposed to represent memory…I guess there was this whole thing with this woman coughing up phlegm who says that phlegm is ready to be coughed up when it smells rotten or something…and I guess it has something to do with repressed memories and how we eventually have to confront them, but not until they’ve festered within us…
I haven’t read it, so I don’t know for sure. :)

I didn’t go on a tour this time. I went on one in 10th grade and it was amazing. That’s what originally made me want to go to Yale. I guess it varies.

I love love love Yale.

not as much as i do  lol jk

Oh, but you are mistaken, for no one on earth loves Yale as I do. :)
