just a reminder to first time parents of freshman,as I got a very official mailing today marked:“Attention:Parents of New Students Living on Campus” with a somewhat official looking “seal” on the envelope…
While it looks enticing to order the sheet/comforter sets from this outfit…called Campus Linens…people in the past have been unhappy with the quality of their sheet sets…thread count, pilling, etc.I did search all the inserts and thread count is not mentioned once.
And all they offer is available in many other locations.often at much cheaper prices. And dont be fooled that everything must be X-long as they try to make you believe.

Also, don’t panick about XL sheets. When time comes BBB, Linen and Stuff or Target will have plenty.

Fred & Parchesis are the only way to go.
(It’s that time again…)

mini I knew you amongst others would appreciate the “oh no” in the title of the thread!

I’m hoping to visit the Villa Parchesi next December - hope they have the sheets!

I just posted in the Parents Cafe about sheets!!

Linens N Things is having a storewide clearance 40-90% off.

Had wicked fun!!!

Kat

thread count? Around our house, it is hole count. Yea, college is expensive.

Just remember, sheets get softer with age. They get thinner, too, but you can always double up. We have yet to have overlapping holes…

Oh, and XL only affects the fitted sheet and possibly a foam liner (egg carton) if you get one. Look at the dimensions on top sheets, blankets, spreads. Same as regular twin sheet.
