<p>Should I mention somewere I have a problem with my attention hence the good school grades but bad grades with longer tests (SATs and APs)</p>

<p>Awards: First Web Excelence Award (2007), Maryland Distinguised Schollar, NHS, Center for Talented Youth(lol shoudl I put this on app. I it is sad my 11 year old SATs = 11th grade </p>

<p>Activities: Worked at Wendy’s :), SGA, Secratary of FBLA, NHS, Robotics Team Officer (I do the Website, help with programming and engineering), Worked at an Outdoors nature camp </p>

<p>with 3rg graders one year, Worked with kindergardeners at an educational camp one summer</p>

<p>Also, I am white male and poor. My family income is like 30-40k adn I have a brother who is going to Princeton. (I need aid, lots of aid. I totally have like 4-5k a year to go to </p>

<p>college but my families expected payment is only like 2k for most of these colleges). I want to go into Math(focus in logic)/Physics/Irish Studies.</p>

<p>My advice is not to mention attention problems, because this excuse makes it look like you might have trouble with long exams in college. Go ahead and list your employee of the month award, because holding down a job while getting good grades in school is a fine accomplishment. Don’t write in Irish unless your essay has to do with your interest in Irish Studies (now that’s unusual). While your SATs may not be impressive to your top schools, you’re an interesting candidate who ought to get some offers.</p>

<p>I personally think you shouldn’t have given up on Latin because you got a B in it (especially because you stopped at level I). Of course, I don’t really know what colleges will say, but it kind of makes me think that you don’t know how to overcome a challenge. </p>

<p>Don’t mention your attention span problem unless it’s been diagnosed or something. A major in Irish Studies sounds interesting…</p>

<p>oh it would be a minor no colleges in the US have majors in Irish Studies (at least not like decent colleges). As for Latin it was a B first semester and a A for thesecond semester if that helps.</p>
