Ohhh princeton :(

How come they treat us ED applicants so badly :frowning:
i guess it’s not always the case where when you want something bad enough, you’ll always get it… I haven’t received anything from princeton yet, and i should have had i been admitted as a Canadian applicant (DHL should have arrived).

So i guess i will be like Kebree, going to Harvard instead… It’s okay, me and keb will show up at Harvard Princeton games!!! :)

So many ED deferrals from PTON are accepted to H…

P.S. any advice? I’ve also been accepted to Penn’s Management Technology dual degree program with Wharton and Engineering … I don’t know if i should go there instead of harvard. Best business school with a second engineering degree… the M&T program is exactly what i want to do for my career NOW, as a innovative entrepreneur… but i am just afraid that i might change my mind later and MT is limiting my option… the program accepts around 70 students a year - a bit more selective than harvard… any advice?

M&T all the WAY!!!

haosquared, why would you say “MT all the way.” i really want to pick MT over harvard too…

I think it’s more personalized and esp. since you think this is what you want to do. I know the allure of the Harvard name is hard to resist but if you applied to MT, it would make sense that you are fairly committed to what it specializes in. And if by some chance you aren’t, which as great a program as MT is, I highly doubt that, then Penn itself is still awesome.

ME TOO! I also got into M&T and princeton (and yale)–and am having a hard time deciding between the three.

i am leaning towards pton now (by now, i mean this afternoon) bc of the academics (as opposed to yale), esp in math, physics, etc…and im thinking that m&t is a) just too preprofessional–not enough of a college experience and b) isnt wharton really competitive and c) cant i just go to business school for graduate school and d) it would maybe too much lock me into business, which im not sure i even want to do (i knew this when applying, so i still consider it a locking-in)…but these are only my impressions after the second day! i was totally shocked when i found out i got into all three. i obviously have to get MUCH more info and feeling. (oh btw the M&T Day is the same day as the pton visiting thingy)

yoshe123456,

MT grads are mostly VERY successful in grad school and in life. most got into top MBA - Harvard, stanford or wharton…

so i’m also having a hard time deciding… somehow, i feel that harvard is just a name on a piece of paper…

i know they are. i still feel like princeton or yale would be better though. i really dont know. i am having a tough time making this decision.

Princeton seems very strong in math and physics, sort of like MIT but of course there are more types of students on campus and more departments to choose from if you change your mind.

yeah, that’s also a good point…

Jerome fisher will limit our career options… unless we’re DEAD sure… but then i thought about it, i will very likely end up studying econ at harvard anyway… hard to decide.

If u dont like M&T, you can always drop out of it. I say go for Penn cause it’s social life is so much better than Harvard’s- in an annual confidential survey given to graduating students of 31 elite colleges, Harvard ranked 3rd to last in terms of student happiness (it was reported on MSN a few days ago).

CONGRATULATIONS Princetonwannabe on Harvard!
