Ohio State Deferral 2024

@hsa0804 just going by the information on the portal.

deferred in january and then accepted yesterday. out of state, 30 ACT, 3.75 UW gpa, tons of APs/ECs

Will decisions be released each Friday most likely?

Do they need mid year Senior grades?

@jmsstb yes, you should send in mid-year grades for any schools from which you haven’t gotten a decision

@mcc1970
Is it required though? My D’s letter that she was deferred said nothing about needing Senior grades. I’m only asking because she did well Q1 but early q2 she had a medical issue(still ongoing) that caused her grades to drop a lot. If we send the grades we have no place to explain q2. They’ll just see the lower grades and think she was blowing off school.

@jmsstb I cannot be sure it is required. You can always find out who your regional admissions representative is - they’re listed in the website and shoot him/her an email expressing your continued interest in tOSU. It may be helpful to do that and if necessary, they can let you know if it is required. If so, you have an open line of communication with the rep through which you can explain your D’s situation and provide background for the dip in grades.

@mcc1970
Thanks! That’s a good idea.

Has anyone heard anything today?

No, we haven’t heard anything. ?

Anyone, know next wave release of decisions?

I am pretty sure they are consistently accepting people as the weeks go by… Just a few weeks ago they admitted only 48 students and then the next week 5000. Since they have admitted over 26k my guess is they are gonna be admitting very few students, which is probably the most terrible situation especially for someone like me who is still deferred. Seriously good luck to everyone out there deferred because I find myself breaking down every time I check my portal.

@Madisonk2020 Aw, Madison, no matter what happens with OSU, it will all work out and you will land someplace you love. Will keep fingers and toes crossed for you, though!

I was at a Fisher Accepted Student Day this weekend and the admissions people said they would be admitting people through March…

what time do admissions decisions on Friday start rolling out? Anyone know?

It’s been 130 pm EST in the past
