Just got off the phone with admissions, they did admit they had a known delay in deferred decisions, and that it should be updated tonight around 6. No mention of how definitive that time frame is.
Another day wasted checking the computer all day!! I begged the admissions lady to just tell me my daughters result but to no avail !
Just checked and my daughter’s status changed from deferred to Wait list. Luckily, she has already decided on one of the other great options she has.

Waitlisted and did anyones also say a letter will come to accept or reject wait list and other options will be provided? I’m sure one option (or only prob) is regional campus but I wonder if they still ever offer admission if you take 12 cr hrs there in the summer. I don’t think my daughter would do that cause she wants her last summer with friends but wish they just said everything now!! Goodluck to everyone else! Her two friends also got wait list offer. I didn’t think OSU took anyone off the wait list last year so obviously that won’t work!
My sons is still showing deferred, will look again in a bit and update. I’m not sure how the waitlist status works, just know in my friends daughters case she took classes in summer at the Columbus campus. That was 5 years ago. Things could’ve changed from then.
Are a lot of people on the waitlist offered summer?
From what I remember she didn’t recieve notice till like May for the offer to take summer classes. It worked for her as we are only 40 minutes from campus and her cousin had an apartment near campus as he was already a student there. I’m not sure how it works. I would contact your admissions counselor or wait for what they send in the mail. Very disheartened to hear of the waitlisted statuses.
My kids is also showing deferred. I believe the summer option is only offered to a subset of kids from the waitlist.

Same here. This is getting very irritated. I don’t know how they could wait list people without deciding on who to accept/decline so I don’t see what the hold up is anymore.
