Did he write anything in his application essay etc about you? Faculty are often on admissions committees (at least I know that for graduate school) so I could imagine if he mentioned you in an essay or short answer getting curious and looking up a parent.
I didn’t get the email so it was new to me.
Anyone in-state receiving the email and acceptance?

I just got a status update email but it wasn’t for OSU lol. This wait is so painful.
regardless how this turns out, you all will always be remembered and i enjoyed hanging out with you on a friday night! we need to set up a reunion down the road:)

My son got into univ of oregon with a 50k summit scholarship awarded. what do you think about that university? compared to others like OSU?
University of Oregon is not for me. I have visited 3 times and I just don’t like the feel of the campus. I got in with the 50k award, but I really hope I don’t have to go there. OSU just felt right for me when I visited, don’t really know why. It’s the only college that I felt that way at.

There has been only 1 report of an acceptance so far, and it was someone who was a student at OSU through dual enrollment, so they might be finding out first.
Does anyone know if what major you selected when applying determines the likelihood of being accepted? I applied business, but now I’m wondering if because I applied business it is less likely for me to be accepted?
