what are the main differences?

IU is the famous for its reputation in investment banking area and engineering But OSU is not bad but if u like college football and a overall better college social life pick OSU over IU(PS:all college in indiana petty much is in the middle of cornfield and there is not much to do)

Not sure where the above poster gets his information. IU doesn’t have an engineering college. IU’s business college, however, is top notch, but it’s undergraduate and graduate rankings are ranked roughly equal to Ohio State’s. IU is said to have one of the top schools of music in the world.

It’s my understanding that Ohio State tends to have a more diverse student body than IU. IU is in a smallish, college town: Ohio State is in the middle of a 1.8 million person metro area. Although both are very good Big Ten universities, admissions to Ohio State are tougher.
