Also, when I sent S-2 to So California for college, he PROMISED he’d never discuss weather in the winter. He keeps forgetting. I don’t want to hear any more about his 72 degree days. I can’t hang up on him; he’s my son, but still he shouldn’t make his mother cry.

FM, that is so important and wonderful to read.

Snow is funny because it makes Al Gore look even sillier. :)

Well, my Dad, a weather expert, believed in global warming and used to tell me
that the weather ecosystem was being knocked out of balance, and you see issues like El Nino not working right, massive tsunamis killing people, and massive amounts of snow and inclement weather in places that don’t usually get that much. It’s more that the weather pendulum is swinging to further extremes. He was my science guy and I believe him :)

Tsunamis are related to earthquakes…not weather.

^^ Yes…my mistake.
Hurricanes, tornados, mud slides, fires from dry conditions, crazy snow storms. I think we can agree that things don’t seem quite right these days.

I don’t hate meteorologists, but I am very weary of local nightly news shows that have the meteorologists give “teasers” – “Just how cold will it get tonight?! I’ll have that and more in five minutes!”

Or,

“Will the big storm be coming our way? And how much snow will we get? I’ll have that and more in five minutes!”

I mean, just tell us, already. Why the big build-up?

Paying3tuitions, i really do know what you mean. Spent two winters on Grand Island.
