OK Midyear Grades

I got accepted OOS and my first semester grades are not that great - three A-s, a B+, a B, and two As. However, I took five APs out of my seven classes. Will this have any effect on my admission status?

Your grades are great. Enjoy your senior year.

Trust me, you’re fine… I dont see why you’re worrying.

I thought you meant you had gotten C’s and D’s or something

what if someone got a d?

They should worry.

Is this a joke?

If you are asking me…no, a D is not a joke and they should worry.

C might raise an eyebrow, but if it was a single C then probably just a little “***?” letter and not much more. ALL your grades going to C’s…big issue I bet.

and a D will definitely stand out, and might get some provisions put on the acceptance. multiple D’s are a serious issue, you can prob count on some serious trouble (and rightly so, unless you were battling a disease or a tragedy struck…but if THAT were the case, you should prob call admissions right when the issue occurred so they understood what you would be battling this semester. tell them ahead of time, don’t make excuses later.)

I didn’t mean the D was a joke. Obviously, that’s concerning. But the OP’s grades are absolutely nothing to worry about, not for a moment.

I realize that…it wasn’t the OP wo asked about getting a “D”. The OP has nothing to worry about…anyone who gets a D should worry.

What about more B’s then A’s?

Those are great grades. Don’t worry. My senior year, I got all 6 A’s, a B, and a D (B and D were in paired English classes with the same teacher: D in CP grammar class, B in AP lit). The teacher was new to our school and completely unjustified in giving out the grades she did, and for a while I was nervous about having my admission rescinded. They just sent me a concerned email about my “poor performance” and that was it. I think you would have to seriously try to screw up for anything bad to happen.
