I just realized what I want to do. The only problem is I’m about 4 years too late. I REALLY want to get into Umich, butttt 2.1 gpa, 20 ACT. I am turning my life around as we speak. Just graduated and starting summer classes at Oakland CC. Plan on going to WCC in the fall and possibly the winter. What would I need to do to get in and when would I be able to do apply? I want to major Pre-Law. I am not qualified or even close for that matter right now, but I do not doubt my ability to do anything I have to. I would put myself up there with any Umich student. The only problem is I messed around for 4 years. One other thing, would it look better going to Easterns Honors College or just go to WCC?

And that possibly winter for WCC is because I might transfer to Honors at Eastern.

Whether you try to transfer from EMU or WCC won’t make a difference. Your chances from either school will be decent/good if you maintain a high GPA (over 3.7) while there.

I would complete the Fall term 2009, Winter term 2010 and Fall term 2010 before applying to Michigan in November or December of 2010 for the admissions cycle of the fall of 2011.

Good luck.

PS, Pre-Law is not a major, it is a track. You can pretty much major in anything you like and stay on that track, as long as your GPA is good and you do well on the LSAT. Of course, there are “popular” majors for undergrads on the Pre-Law track. Those inlude Economics, English, History, Mathematics, Philisophy, Political Science and Sociology…but like I said, you can major in virtually anything and get into Law school.
