Ok so I bombed my PSATs... do colleges look at that?

How heavily is the PSAT weighed for admission into an ivy league? Like my score wasn’t enough for national merit but it definitely got Commended (but I consider that bombing). If I were to score high on my SAT, would that overshadow my PSAT score?

they dont look at it.

I’m not entirely sure if Ivy League (or any colleges for that matter) look at PSAT’s, but I DO know that if you’re a Junior, you can potentially qualify for a scholarship?

Oh, but I did do a bit of searching and got this from here: [Do Colleges Look at PSAT Scores? - Ask The Dean](http://www.collegeconfidential.com/dean/archives/do-colleges-look-at-psat-scores.htm)

Please try to use the search function in the future; this question has been asked frequently.

Colleges do not look at PSAT scores. They are not distributed by CollegeBoard and there is no reason they would see them. Despite that, you did not “bomb” the PSAT if you got commended scholar, btw. You don’t need to add that to the thread, just ask “Do colleges see PSAT scores?”

You are probably a Sophomore. I think all of us that have never even looked at a PSAT go into the practice test and are taken a little aback and bomb it. I know I did…I got a 640 M, 530 CR, and 530 W…I’m hoping this year for more like 780 M, 600 CR, and 680 W.

the only thing it matters for is National merit scholar
