If it’s any solace, BU’s acceptance rate last year was 55%.

thats hella low

also

what is the acceptance rate of CGS?

i dont feel any solace about 50%

cuz ill probably be the 1 our of every 2 applicants rejected

do u think college of general studies is higher?

Starting threads like this does not up your chances of getting in. Please stop, you’re annoying and at this point I really doubt you’re serious about all this. It’s not very funny you know.

k lol ill stop ■■■■■■■■

actually hanita jk

im worried alot u dont know how much i screwed up in highschool alrght
my sat is decent but im just wondering how i cud increse my chance if i like hit a higher score on saturday’s SAT

for CGS
hanita do u even go to BU

Ummm… yes, I go to BU.

k do u and others at BU

laugh/look down on CGS ill prolly be there next year if all goes well
on my jan sat and 1st sem grades and such

An acceptance rate of 55% is hella good. Look at the acceptance percent of NYU and USC for example. Theyre in the low 20s. Some of the other school I applied were in the 30-40% acceptance range. I wont be suprised if the acceptance percent for Ivys is in the 10s or even less. Even if you get waitlisted, theres a good chance that you can go considering the fact that the other people who actually got in will go to a higher institution if they get accepted which creates extra spots for waitlisters.

Precisely. Last year, BU’s yield was a measly 21%.

That is very surprising, according to ************** the schools yield rate is at 20%, many less prestigious schools than BU yeild rate I found to be higher. Most schools yield rate I reviewed were around 35-45%. I think BU yield rate is low because as notice by collegeboard many students who have applied to BU also applied to some of the nations most elite schools.

yea but i was asking if CGS and SEP have higher acceptance rates, and/or waitlist more

sat4lyfe, yes, people do that. There was this other CGS thread where me and others talked about it.

I think BU’s low-yield is explainable. BU is one of the best schools in this country and hence its applicants are some of the best students in the country. As such, they’re applying to many top universities and get accepted to many of them. Sadly enough, BU isn’t that good of a university that it is #1 on many of those students’ list, so they end up going somewhere else, and hence, the low yield. As well, the acceptance rate at USC is deceiving…it’s not that difficult to get accepted into (the average’s for those admitted was a 3.8 UW GPA and 1990 - 2210 SAT, which is comparable to the averages for the University of Michigan, though Michigan has a 48% acceptance rate - compared to USC’s 24% acceptance rate).

Wow, bitter. I hate when the college students speak as if they’ve never suffered through the college admission process.

Stop freaking going on about how you won’t get in. Man up and quit worrying!@!!!@#$!@#!@#$
all in caps
