<p>a couple of my schools require a general graduate school application in addition to an application for the department i’m applying for. </p>
<p>for the department app i can just upload a personal statement about whatever and that is fine. </p>
<p>however, in the general application it asks for things like “why do i want to go to school X for my graduate studies and what are my career goals?”</p>
<p>I can pretty much just copy and paste this right from my personal statement needed for the department. is it a bad idea to use the same PS pretty much? the information is already there so it seems silly to rewrite for the sake of rewriting. anyone have a take on this?</p>
